I've eaten in Brazilian steakhouses all across the country and this one is the best. Their salad bar is superb (the roasted potatoes and chicken salad especially). The service is excellent -- and the meat? It's just extraordinarily good. If I could only pick one restaurant in all of Myrtle Beach to eat at, this would be it. PS: Make sure to get a reservation, especially during the tourist season.

This is probably my favorite place to come in town. Mainly for special occasions! If your down for ungodly amounts of fresh, always hot, most delicious bombardment of meats??? This is a must!!! 14 different kinds of meat brought to your table, all with a flip of a card! The salad bar is impressive, boasting cocktail shrimp, and fresh sushi grade ahi tuna. Try to stay away from the carbs and eat for sport! Really outstanding!

If you've been to a Brazilian Steakhouse and liked it, then you'll probably like Rioz. It is exactly like all the others I've been too. Instead of spending a lot of time talking about what a Brazilian Steakhouse is - you can find out from other reviews or their website - I'd like to give you a couple of warnings. They're not gamechangers but they're the reason that I knocked a star off the review. First is the wait. I made reservations for 5:45. We arrived at 5:40. We were seated after 6:30. I don't mind a bit of a wait (or a long one without reservations) but if they can't meet reservations, they shouldn't take them. I've no doubt that if we'd shown up 50 minutes late, they would have told us that our reservations were forfeit but it's ok for them to make US wait for 50 minutes. This is pretty uncool. The second issue is that you need to talk to the servers who are bringing around the meat if you want your meat cooked a certain way. Like many Brazilian Steakhouses, some of the meats are cooked more than others. The Garlic Beef - although delicious - was medium well if not well done. Most of the times the servers will ask how you like your meat and cut from a part of the cut that is more or less well done for you. There's nothing wrong with the meat - just communicate with the server. The pork tenderloin was so well done, it was a little hard to eat and the garlic beef was the same. That said, the flank steak (which is usually cooked fairly thoroughly) was still delicious and it was not difficult at all to get filet medium rare or even rare. Just wanted to point these issues out - if you know what they are, you can try to mitigate them. By the way, the little one (3 years old) had an absolute BALL flipping over his little card and having things cut onto his plate. Being able to eat with tongs just made him the HAPPIEST kid ever. Needless to say, his mother just ate off his plate instead of getting anything of her own. So glad we didn't order off the children's menu for him... Enjoy!

Wow! My first experience at a Brazilian Steakhouse and I loved it! We come to Myrtle Beach this time each year to celebrate our anniversary, my birthday and Valentines all in the same week. Picked Rioz and loved it!! The staff was exceptional, the salad/food bar was outstanding and the meats served table side was awesome! When they heard what we were celebrating they brought out a beautifully decorated dessert for two. Thank you Rioz for a lovely evening!!

    1. Cleanliness: I could not find anything less than exceptional! 2. Service: Very good, keeping me well served along with a smile! 3. Food Quality: From the enormous salad bar, to the never ending entrées and sides, I have rarely had a meal any better than this! 4. Atmosphere: Unlike any other! A truly unique experience! 5. Price: For an unlimited amount if steaks, a very reasonable price. Even if that price is $30.00 to $40.00 per diner.

Yummy! Bacon wrapped fillet and chicken are the best, followed by lamb chop then salmon. They need to have tres leche cake. Our server disappeared and we didn't see her at all.. it was awkward to know whim to tip... it was awesome. After speaking with manager they split equally the servers, gauchos and bartender split equally.

Gluttonous bastard says: "Salad bar is very good, but in order to get the most for your money, don't eat all day and go early, pass on the cheap cuts (chicken, sausage....), drink very little, etc."

If you don't like to wait, it's better to make reservation. It happens in Brazil too (with almost good steak houses), so we are used to. The place is huge, clean, well organized, with friendly staff. While we were waiting for a table, I ordered a caipirinha (lemon, Brazilian rum, sugar and ice). They offer others flavors, but I am old school. Brazilian rum comes from sugar cane and it have high alcohol level. Be careful! The food didn't disappoint us. It's an authentic Brazilian barbecue, seasoned with only sea salt. There is a menu where you can understand different types of meat served. Picanha uses to be the Brazilian preference. Try it. I figured out that they did a few changing at salad bar to please the American people. In Brazil, we have more salad and fruits. Aproveitem!

This is a must visit place. The food is great from the items on the salad bar, the drinks, sides and all the meat is to die for. Recommendation don't eat all day before you come to eat because you get a lot of food. Awesome service too. The managers are all over the place making sure things are running smooth!

Wow--fantastic food very nicely presented, the "salad bar" area is amazing, need to find better name for it, is much more than a "salad bar", it contains a huge variety of cold meats cheeses and salad makings that could all be a meal just on their own--but try not to overdo at the salad bar because they also bring 3 hot side dishes-fried polenta sticks, cheesy mashed potatoes and fried sweet plantains. Then when you have overfilled from the salad area you flip your card from red to green and they start bringing hot succulent perfect meats to your plate--sirloin, pork , chicken, filet, sausages , lamb chops , all smoky and cooked perfectly-it just keeps coming until you flip the card back to red to take a break. I highly recommend this place, but arrive early on the off hours, we got there at 7 and waited 90 minutes and other groups were still being seated very late after us. Also very expensive-I don't think I ate 36$ worth of food but definitely paying for high quality food!! Luckily my 12 yr old son was 1/2 price.

Amazing experience! You will not leave hungry. Great tasting meat that is brought to you on a skewer...great salad bar with sushi on it. They also give you bread, mashed potatoes, fried bananas and something else that is like a sweet corn bread but I can't recall what it is called. I actually went twice during my stay and both times it was awesome! Great service too!

I don't know how there are so many ugly reviews about this place! The salad bar was wonderful, huge and fresh! The place is Loud but how can it be quiet? It's a family restaurant with a draw of big crowds. No way to complain! The meats were great! There wasn't any blood drippings anywhere! The Gaucho's are really friendly not pushy and the food was great! The dessert portion was huge and wonderful and we cannot wait to go back! The negative reviews below are very inaccurate and negative. There is a food variety for everyone!

  • Correy H.

Great food, prompt service & fun environment (but slightly pricey). Be sure to make room for dessert as it is very good (try the chocolate cake or Oreo ice cream cake) After reading several reviews I was expecting the salad bar to be run by a few sad clowns --- but that was not the case. In-fact, i could have easily made a meal out of what I found at the bar --- sushi rolls, soups, salmon, pastas, cheese/meat, and of course traditional salad toppings. My only suggestion to Rioz is that their staff appears a bit too efficient -- to the point that we felt a bit rushed.

If you're looking for a great meal and delicious meat this is the place to go. It is casual see you can bring your kids mine are 14 and 12 and they ate a lot. Kids and under are 12 and under so you only pay $17.99 as opposed to the $35 per adult . When I call to make a reservation they said the only thing available at 9 p.m. And I called them early in the day around 1 p.m. We actually showed up hoping we could get seated earlier at 8 p.m. And they were able to seat us within 10 minutes. We also used a free dessert coupon that I found in one of the Myrtle Beach maps

Had to review this place. What a great experience. The salad bar is filled with non standard fare like Palm Hearts and a variety of cheeses and sushi. no cheap stuff here. The meats were all hot off the fire and fantastic. The house sirloin is the best I have ever had. The Lamb cuts, filet mignon, and all the meats were luscious. It is impossible to leave here unfulfilled. For $35 there is no better bargain for those who appreciate variety. I would say go there when its crowded because they likely cook more. We waited 2 hours. (Put our names in and went to see a movie) and have been there five times in the past year. We now go during 1/2 price months in Feb and take advantage of coupons. But will not hesitate to pay full fare when we get the urge. The QUALITY of all the food is top draw. I would rather go to Rioz than Ruths Chris. Yeah its not a quiet romantic dinner with all the waiters running around with hot skewers of seemingly endless varieties of meats and even pineapple! It's pretty noisy, Obviously people are having a great time. Not just a meal out,,,,,,an experience.

The BEST hands down. The right cuts of meat, not loud, salad bar plentiful. Larry and his people made my family feel at home.

Ok, if you are a meat lover, this is for you, tons of meat selections that come around, it is a different experience for sure. Worth trying even for the frugal person. Best to go hungry, like skip breakfast, lunch, and go for dinner. $36 bucks per person, drinks not included nor desert. They do have a very basic salad type bar, and it has good melon fruit. Total for 2 peeps with sweet tea, tip 100 bucks. The atmosphere is really nice, good for anniversaries, dates, completely different experience.

Great place to get your carnivore on! This is a staple while vacationing at Myrtle. I was slightly disappointed this last time we visited. I am not a huge fan of red meat. In the past they have offered a fish choice at the salad bar. Last year it was Mahi mahi, and it was excellent! This time they only offered shrimp ( which were on the small side), and sushi (which was no better than I can get it my local grocery store). Otherwise a great meal for the price. The Brazilian steakhouse here in Baltimore is almost double what we payed at Rioz.

You don't have to love meat to eat here...we had two vegetarians they found plenty on the salad bar and three that ate meat...we all left stuffed...service was great...it is very expensive but very good!

I didn't give it 5-star because it is so expensive. My boyfriend and I went there and it cost us 110 dollars. We only ordered two soda and one desert. But the food there is so great. And the salad bar is so great even for a Chinese.

50/50 with this place. Upon arriving they seemed annoyed we didn't make a reservation and told us 25-30 minutes, but the place was fairly empty. (We did have to wait that long) Some of the steaks were delicious and some were not so great. I am not sure if it was the specific cut that I received or if that's what that cut was supposed to taste like. We had 11 people in our dinner party and this was the theme with everyone. Positive notes: The parmesan pork was amazing, the sirloin and the flank steak were as well. Negative notes: The tenderloin and chicken wrapped in bacon, the pork ribs and the sausage weren't very tasty. The service was very good overall.

Went with 4 other ladies to Rioz. We had looked at their web site online and were expecting to choose 3 meats for a reduced price. Apparently, that offer is only good if you are seated in the bar. We didn't feel that we had appetites big enough to eat $45 of unlimited meats so we ended up choosing the salad bar only. It came with hot salmon and grilled pineapple (which was delicious!). The salad bar definitely filled us up and had LOTS of food, but we were really disappointed not to be able to choose just 2-3 meats, served from the skewers. We should have read the web site better. 4 stars because the salad bar was good. 1 star for not being flexible with their menu and lack of ability to serve smaller appetites.

Disappointed with Rioz. I went recently and having been to some really great Brazilian grills, I was very excited about going here while I was on vacation. The pluses, nice atmosphere and good service. The seasoning on the food, especially the steak was lacking. Everything needed a little more salt or flavor. In addition, my steak tasted a little like fuel or some kind of chemical flavor. Blech!! The salad bar was Ok and overall the food was average. If you've never been to a Brazilian steakhouse before, you might think this place is the bomb but if you've experienced high quality Brazilian grill places, you too may be disappointed.

This place blew me away! So many different types of meat to try! The meat was tender and Ohhh so good! Very quick service and there is a full buffet! Very clean. Although expensive the food is to die for! Highly recommend this to all my friends that come to myrtle beach

Our family has been enjoying Rioz every since it opened in Myrtle Beach--we love it! We were most recently there the week after Christmas and it was busy with many families enjoying the "show". The men in our party were the carnivoirs, while my daughter and I enjoyed the salad bar only. The grilled pineapple was a huge hit at our table. Expensive, but never disappointing.

I heart meat. Needless to say I prepped for this meal by depriving myself of a decent lunch, because I was ready to get my meat sweat on! Disappointed. I called early afternoon on a Saturday to make reservations for 9 people at 7pm. No problem. When we arrived 2 minutes early the hostess gave me a pager to be buzzed just like all the walk ins. I was a bit upset, but thankfully we were seated within 15 minutes. Salad bar. Sushi? Weird. Rice was not sushi rice. Enjoyed the olive selection. Sides. Liked that they fried their polenta. Mashed potatoes taste like they came out of a box. Bananas could have been sweeter. Meat. It lacked flavor. My all time favorite cut at Brazilian steakhouses is the house special or Pichana. As soon as the gaucho so how enthusiastic I was about that cut, he would always come to me first and offer me additional slices. Some cuts were perfectly seasoned and cooked, but others were too thick and bland. The grilled pineapple needed more time on the grill so that the sugars could caramelize and sweeten. Too much powdered cinnamon taking away from pineapple. Drinks. We had to partake in their summer special pitchers of red or white sangria for $26. These were pretty large pitchers so we only ordered 2 for our table of 9. Loved the white sangria, sweet and refreshing! Overall would not return for the steak, I'd rather go to Ruth's Chris for a steak I'm known to love and pay extras for quality sides. Service, however was a the silver lining at this steakhouse.

This was my first time at Rios, we decided to try it after being told there was a 45 min wait at the calabash seafood buffet up on restaurant row. it was a really a really pleasant surprise. The ambience is very attractive, it operates in two stages, first you hit the salad bar, not your usual generic selection, but many interesting and tasty selections, the Italian vinaigrette was great. Then the fun begins, you flip over your indicator disk from red to green and a bevy of young men swarm up with beef, lamb, pork and chicken on roasting skewers to carve off you choice of their offering. Also brought to your table are mashed potatos, fried polenta and fried bananas. All the meats are delicious and well prepared, the service is outstanding, attentive and friendly, the manager came by twice to see if every thing was to our liking, I would recommend Rios 100%. Hint: if you are a newbie, flip your indicator over, get one or two of your meats, then flip it back, savor each cut, then try one or two others, the servers are so attentive it can be a bit overwhelming ( in a good way), Eddie the manager can be proud of the legal of service and cusine, both are outstanding.

Across the board this is one of the best restaurant I have ever been to! WARNING....Go hungry and ready to eat!!!!

Absolutely fantastic! Some meats were a bit dry, but overall had excellent flavor! The top sirloin was a particular hit at our table, tender, juicy, and just plain exquisite. Ending the night with creme brulee and Bailey ' s coffee was just the cherry on top. You should expect to pay at least a hundred for a couple, but it is well worth the cost.

So upset with my choice to come here. We are huge fans of their location in Ohio so we figured this one would be up to par as well. Salad bar was good like always but that's where it stopped for our party. When we flipped to green we had told the servers and meat cutters about 12 times that 90% if the table wanted well done meat. We kept getting horrible rare cuts of meat just swimming in blood. About an hour had passed and myself i had only received 4 pieces of edible meat my 5th piece had maybe a cm of done steak and the rest was just a red mess. After we had flipped back to red and decided to just call it a day we were bombarded with very rude meat cutters they wouldn't take no for an answer they were very pushy and tried to tell us the rare steak was well done. It was not. That leads into the staff during the meal. The actually wait staff was amazing we ended up tipping out waitress generously but the meat cutter didn't know how to take no for an answer. We were giving 50% off our meal but that didn't make the time wasted there worth it. Now we know what to avoid next time we come to myrtle beach. Hopefully the Ohio location never stoops to this low of service

I guess I don't see why this place has been so highly reviewed.. The meats were flavorful, but the staff/waiters have Zero personality, salad bar is so-so and dessert is not included in the already overpriced "all you can eat" price.

Bring your appetite... I've never seen so much food. Good food, too! I'd never been to a Brazilian steakhouse, so the concept -- waiters bring around hunks of meat, and carve it onto your plate for you -- was new to me. But after a helping of prime rib, then a filet wrapped in bacon, then some other stuff I honestly can't remember, I became a fan. The salad bar is incredible. Really, you could just visit it, and be completely satisfied. It had sushi! A lady comes around and concocts these sugary, traditional Brazilian cocktails, which were strong, and tasty. Decent wine selection. Attentive service. The place was PACKED on a Saturday night, but my group of seven had a few drinks at the bar (which was so retro cool, that I thought Don Draper and Roger Sterling were going to pop in for an Old Fashioned), and didn't really have to wait very long, even without a reservation. My heart could not stand more than one trip per year to this place, but I am definitely looking forward to going back.

Wow. Come hungry! This place is ah-mazing. The service is second to none. There is SO much food. The salads are fantastic but the meats are succulent! When you flip to green- be ready! You WILL be inundated with meat!

I came to this restaurant with my girlfriend and her family. At 6 pm Friday, we were able to be seated immediately. The restaurant is large with many tables. The establishment could easily be packed with patrons. The service is really good. Like any other Brazilian steakhouse, there are always a waiter within a couple of tables. The meat servers are always plentiful to the point I had to turn my meat card to red. The meats were always warm and plentiful. Unlike the other steakhouses, there was a desert and sangria carts floating around the dining space. Although I was full at the end of the meal, I appreciated it because I could see what great deserts were available. For a some background, I have been to other Brazilian Steakhouses (i.e. Fogo de Chao and Chima). Compared to those places, this restaurant is steal of a price. For $36 you get the meats with salad bar. Fogo de Chao and Chima charge $55 and $50 respectively.

Wonderful ambiance, great friendly service (except for the not so bright dessert worker who insisted on me having to stop feeding my baby and get up so she can go a quicker way instead of going the other way that would not have disturbed anyone), the grilled cinnamon pineapple was the highlight. The chicken wrapped in bacon was juicy. Everything else was good enough.

Fresh grilled meat cooked and seasoned perfectly. So many meats to sample. Servers (sorry I forget the name for them) constantly bring slabs of meat cooked to different temperatures on each side. Tell them how you like it and they'll slice you off a piece. My favorite are the top sirloin, leg of lamb, filet, and flank steak. There's a huge salad bar with lots of stuff that's all pretty good (I really come here for the meat so I barely touch the salad bar.) There is plenty of seating for large groups. You'll end up paying about $50 for the full course and a drink. Worth it if you love good meat and have never been to a Brazilian steakhouse... I've been back several times.

  • Gene A.

The meat was awesome!! Salad bar was delish. Mashed potatoes were pretty bad, but the small roasted potatoes from the salad bar would fill in adequately for those in need of a non-meat compliment to they meal... (yeah, just keep bringing the meat!!!) Kids loved it. Whether you get your money's worth is subjective. I did think that $18.50 for a pitcher of lemonade was insane, but I didn't know if wasn't included and I failed to ask when the girls ordered it. Atmosphere was comfortable, clean and had the old steakhouse feel.

This is Monty Python's Mr. Creosote's favorite restaurant. The salad bar has several tasty options and for the non-meat eater can be purchased solo for a discount. The meat eater needs to be ready to gorge themselves with tasty cuts in multiple varieties. We ended up seated in "no man's land" and the gaucho's kept skipping us as they made their way around the dining room. After our waiter interceded on our behalf, 4 came to our table at once and it was a little overwhelming. My biggest problem with Rioz is the price for children, seniors, and salad bar only. The salad bar only option is $26ish. My 8 year old's dinner was $19.00. He honestly only ate 2 cups of mac-and-cheese and 12 croutons. The 12 and 14 year olds with us ran full price at $36. With sodas, 2 alcoholic drinks, two desserts and tip, our meal was over $300 for 7 people. As good as the food was, we won't be going back because it's just not worth the price.

I only take the time to write reviews when its worth the effort and boy is this place. Firstly, it has the same model as Texas de Brazil which I have been to like 15 times and loved (4 stars). Now for the 1st time I went to Rioz, its 36.95/person and kids up to 6 eat free which is better than other places they charge for kids 5 and up. The buffet is better than Texas de Brazil and other Brazilian steakhouses why? More choices with better quality. The meats (I had well done) is not dry . Its juicy, flavorful, moist and cooked to perfection. Staff attentive. Loved food, atmosphere. Service hence 5 stars.

This is the first time we have every been to this chain and my family loved it! You must make reservations or it will be a 2 hour wait for sure. It is worth the wait tho! We had a 7pm reservation for 12 and were seated exactly at 7pm. The service was great. The salad bar was unique with shrimp cocktail and sushi but don't waste your time filling up on salad. The family favorite was the filet mignon but every meat was delicious. Be sure to try the warm pineapple with cinnamon coating, it was awesome. If you want to try different meats, this is the place to go. The only downside is the price. We will have to find a coupon for next year. We will definitely be back:)

Dude. . .meat eaters PARADISE. Don't fall for the delicious bread and carbs they will offer. DO hit the "salad" bar (the word salad doesn't do it justice) and pile on the sushi. Don't make plans for later as you will be ready for a nap.

I am not a red meat eater typically but my husband is so I obliged him. We waited at the bar for about 30 minutes for a table - not bad and the drinks were good and not astronomically priced. At the table we were welcomed and instructed to do our first course at the salad and hot bar. Food was good there, my husband liked the choices better than I. Once we were ready to start the meat we were given three sides - fried polenta, fried bananas, and mashed potatoes. Those were very good. We were placed beside a very very large party and that created a road block for us, as we sat for quite a while and kept getting bypassed for meat. Finally the waitstaff helped and we were able to try everything we wanted. Maybe a little slower than we would have liked but we tried most everything. I enjoyed the filet and the leg of lamb best. They even cooked a piece of sirloin for me since most of what was on the spit was very rare. Overall it was a good experience and we took a piece of dessert home. They certainly did work to make us happy. Especially our female waitress. She was the best! Wish I caught her name as she was pleasant and always helpful!

I've been here a few times with my husband and it never disappoints. It is definitely pricey but that's pretty much the norm for Brazilian steakhouses. We usually like to go during the off season where they offer deals like half off Sundays during January and/or February. They offer a nice salad bar which seems to change a little every year. This year when we went they had things like Brazilian black beans with rice, alfredo broccoli, sushi, seared ahi tuna, a pasta dish, various salads, various cheeses, etc. If you're not a big beef eater you likely would be happy just ordering their salad bar. Their sushi was surprisingly good. Their meats are great too but a lot of them come either medium rare or rare. My favorite meat was the filet mignon but pretty much everything is excellent. I love their grilled pineapple. I only gave this place 4 stars because I have been to better, just not in Myrtle Beach. Come hungry though because you'll want to try a bit of everything.

Prepare to have the meat sweats while in your meat coma because you're in for a meat extravaganza!! I've never eaten at a Brazilian steakhouse before so I have nothing to compare it to, but I do know that our table of 8 was extremely happy after eating here this week. While on vacation in Myrtle Beach, Rioz was recommended for us and after checking the Yelp reviews, I was very excited for dinner. After eating very lightly all day to prepare, we pulled up in the parking lot to the smell of grilled meats and immediately my mouth began to water. We were greeted with smiles from the staff immediately upon entering and the smiles continued all night. All of the servers and gauchos were extremely friendly and more than happy to flag down a gaucho if there were any requests for seconds, or thirds in my case, of a certain type of meat. We started off with the salad bar, which was more than just salad. Cheeses, sushi, pasta salad, and more were presented beautifully. I tried so hard not to fill my plate from the salad bar because I knew what was coming. The caesar salad was good, with a rich creamy dressing, and my sister and dad seemed happy with the sushi. After they cleared our salad plates and brought us clean ones, the entire table flipped our cards over to green and what followed was a frenzy. Flashes of silver knives, charred meat, and smiles are all I can remember about this tornado of gauchos. My absolute favorite was the bacon wrapped filet mignon. I'm not going to lie, I called this guy back and had a total of 3 of them. The bacon wrapped chicken was a little dry. The leg of lamb was tender and flavorful, but not one of my top picks. The sirloin was excellent, cooked properly, seasoned properly. The "house special" garlic sirloin tasted almost exactly the same as the regular sirloin but with a tiny garlic flavor to it. We also loved the parmesan pork, it was incredible. Surprisingly, after all that, we ordered dessert. My sisters and I split the chocolate mousse cake and the creme brulee. The creme brulee was light and had a nice crust, but didn't have the nice vanilla punch that I like mine to have. The chocolate mousse cake was heavenly, but definitely too large of a portion for one person. It took four of us to eat it and even then it wasn't done. If I ever find myself back in Myrtle Beach, I'll make sure this is on my list of dinner spots.

I have always been interested in trying a Brazilian Steakhouse and let me tell you, I am glad this is the first one we tried. The service was outstanding - very attentive staff! The salad/seafood bar was huge and had something for everyone. The sides they give you (potatoes and cinnamon bananas) were really good. Once your ready for your meat and the card is turned over to green, watch out because here they come! After about 5 different meats on our plates (within 90 seconds) we had to turn the card over to red so we start to try what was on our plate. I have to say, we tried a good amount of the meats and everything was delicious - I will admit, a little salty but nothing to complain about. Next time I'm in the MB area - we will definitely come back and will recommend it to anyone we know coming down here! Also - felt this restaurant was reasonable priced - actually it was exactly what I thought it would be. Highly recommended to make reservations, especially during the busy season.

Went over the second week of August and made reservations 7 very busy but within 10 min seated. The salad bar was good and the meats are great. Lamb and the house sirloin had the top vote with a table of 7. The coupon for a discounted dessert pleased the kids. Always find that we are done within an hour when we eat here. Don't know if it's a push to turn over the table or we are just filling up quickly. It was excellent.

We ate here over the summer. It was very good, but go hungry!! It is expensive since it is unlimited portions of meat.

Great service. Tasty food. Ridiculous salad bar. Quail eggs. Sushi. Crazy. PACE YOURSELF to save room for the meats. Lamb chop and filet were fantastic. Bacon wrapped was a little over done and salty. Drinks were great.

My wife and I came to Myrtle Beach for our honeymoon last year, and this was the BEST restaurant we had the pleasure of dining at during our stay. We are currently here again celebrating our 1 year anniversary, and we are DEFINITELY going there again...possibly tonight!!! Amazing meat selection!!! And the service...well, let's just say as soon as you flip that button over to green, they appear out of nowhere with the food HAHA. It's pricey, but worth it!!! Try it, and you won't be disappointed :)

This is a true churrascaria, Brazilian style, so bring your appetite. For a set fee ($35) they provide a stupendous salad bar with dozens & dozens of items including a large variety of cheeses, Caesar salad, hearts of palm, warm poached salmon, you get the idea. This could easily be a full meal, but only if you are a vegetarian! Because at your table, waiters keep coming by (as long as your green card is face up) bringing meat that they will slice for you at the table. We sampled everything, as follows: chicken breast wrapped in bacon, filet mignon, flank steak, leg of lamb, garlic steak, chicken leg, pork sausage, pork ribs, sirloin steak, pork tenderloin, pork parmigiana, lamb chop, roasted pineapple, & grilled jumbo shrimp. They were all absolutely delicious. And while you're there, be sure top have a caipirinha - it's the Brazilian national drink, and it's fantastic. So why doesn't this place rate 5 stars? The ambiance is merely so-so - it has a certain cafeteria aspect to it. And the service? Adequate, but merely that. The staff, mostly youthful, is brusque & breezy and lacking in concern and sincerity. They seem more interested in turning over the tables than in providing good service.

Much like other reviewers have said, if you have money to spend and are practically auto-digesting your brain from hunger...this could just be heaven for you. Now I have to give it 3 stars in context of other Brazilian BBQ places (which have won me over on quality). Let me break it down. Pros: 1) large variety of meats and very good flavor. My favorites were the house special sirloin and the filet mignon (though you practically had to play hide and go seek with the filet gaucho...he seemed to be the most elusive) 2) The waiting staff was very receptive and informative and seemed to pick up on the moods of the guests 3) The desserts were crazy good (I know I pretty much failed if I had enough room for dessert) Cons: 1) pricy...ouch 2) The salad bar is not as impressive as some of the other Brazilian places. But dont get me wrong... spiced prosciutto, aged Manchego cheese, salmon in Dijon sause, etc were very tasty (and it is hard to find a salad bar like this around the Beach). But I have seen more and better. 3) Some of the meats were not good quality though cooked well. The lamb for one. Over all I would definitely come here again, but if another restaurant like Fogo de Chao showed up I would switch teams real quick. I sat around for a long while after this meal.

This was our first visit to a Brazilian steakhouse and it was wonderful. Fabulous selection on salad bar but would recommend to not sample too much so as to save room for all the meat selections. The meats were sizzling hot and delicious. Can't wait to go back again!

We have a similar place in Maryland and much better. The food options were relatively the same; however, it seemed like the same option kept coming around and eventually you just had to tell them which one to bring you. It took forever to get a drink, so I had water most of the meal. I am pretty much over the brazillian steakhouse fad, just give me my normal meal where I only need to see the waiter a half a dozen times the entire meal of exactly what I want and not have to be bombarded every minute waiting for someone to bring me what I might want.

This is one of our "MUST EAT HERE" places when we visit Myrtle Beach. The salad bar and the meats are amazing. The service is impeccable, and the gauchos have no problem bringing around any special requests we may have. They don't mind children and almost seem to go out of their way to accommodate them. Dessert and beverages are extra, but definitely try one of their signature Brazilian drinks -- they're yummy! We usually spring for creme brulee for dessert as well because its one of my faves, and Rioz does not disappoint. Be sure to bring your appetite when you visit. Its a little pricey, but Brazilian steakhouses normally are.

I loved this place. My wife and I saw their ad while we were visiting/ looking to move to myrtle beach and decided to check it out. It was packed on a Sunday night (tourist season) but we called ahead and were seated right away. The food was beyond great and by far one of the best restaurants in myrtle beach and one of the best we have ever been to. Everything is fresh and tastes great. Well worth the price and we will definitely be back.

OMG! Can you spell De-yummy?! Everything was absolutely GREAT! Yes, it's a bit pricey, but well worth the cost! The salad bar has everything on it from salad fixings to the best darned salmon with a mustard sauce and capers, to sushi! LOVED IT! LOVED IT! LOVED IT! The salad bar even had quail eggs! Who woulda thunk it? And then as the very cheerful waitstaff came to your table to offer various cuts of meet, all one can do is nod yes, and smile! The lamb chops were oh so tender. LOVED IT! LOVED IT! LOVED IT!

Amazing. Ok, maybe I should elaborate. This place opens up at 4pm. My wife and I showed up at 4:10pm thinking the place would be empty but were surprised to find about 10 other tables had already been seated before we got there. A good sign. The wait staff was amazing. Our "waiter" was very friendly in explaining how the whole thing works. There was a lady pushing around a drink cart that was also extremely friendly in explaining the Brazilian drinks she could mix. We had no less than 3 of the staff visit our table, introduce themselves, ask how our dinner was going, and offer to assist with anything. They guys at Rioz are hands down the friendliest and most willing to help staff I've ever encountered. The salad bar was fantastic. They had a nice selection of gourmet cheeses, sushi, bread, and even some kind of fish entree. Just the $21 salad bar would have been worth the price. And now for the meats! You have a card next to your plate with a red side and a green side. If you're card is green, there are 12 men circling the dining area with various meets on skewers just waiting to find someone to serve. When they see a green card, they circle like vultures! If you're not careful, you can have a plate piled high with meat before you think to flip your card back over. All the cuts of meat were delicious. My personal favorite was the bacon wrapped filet. You might think you would get bored eating 15 different kinds of meats, but each selection is so distinct and flavorful that each new meat you try is delicious and new. The meat servers are also constantly rotating the skewers from the kitchen so they never get cold. Summary; the wait staff is excellent and the food is delicious. Best dining experience I've ever had. The price is high, but the experience was so good I didn't even flinch at the price.

This was our first experience with Brazilian steakhouses. Sadly, it set the bar pretty high and we haven't found an equal since. We went for dinner with the full blown meats and the salad bar plus desserts. The meats were very flavorful and the salad bar is not just salad. All you can eat deli meats, cheeses, sashimi and much more! Definitely worth it!

My family an I were here on vacation and as you can see from my reviews I never pass up an opportunity to eat at a Brazilian Steakhouse. I had been to Rioz 2 times before and wanted to visit again. My wife and 2 1/2 year old wanted to go as well. Yup my 2 1/2 year old loves steak, particularly picanah! And he likes it med-rare! And kids under 6 eat free! Bonus! The restaurant was clean and very nicely decorated. The servers were very good and really catered towards our child, which was awesome! They brought him French fries Mac and cheese, chicken nuggets and juice. Of course add on the picanah and filet he ate and the kiddo made out well. The servers were better at making sure you were getting your meats and food items, but a little slower on cleaning up and getting new plates when needed. Now having said that, should there be less than perfect service, I would rather it be like it was, slower on clean up and quicker on serving. This was certainly not bad enough to take off a star. The meats were cooked very well and were almost always cooked to the right temperature. Occasionally I got a piece that was med to med-well and I prefer my meat med-rare. So I just put aside that piece and got a new piece cooked to my liking. I would say they could use a bit more seasoning, particularly salt, but overall we were all very pleased with the cuts of meat. The meat issue again was not enough to cause me to take off a star. Now my favorite restaurant is Texas De Brazil and I hate to say it, but this visit to Rioz certainly put Rioz right up there with Texas De Brazil. I would have to give Rioz the win for service, especially when it came to my son, but the win to Texas De Brazil for the meats. But certainly they are both TOP notch. I will definitely visit Rioz again!

My birthday was last Thursday and my family, my boyfriend and I were in Myrtle Beach for the week. Since I was turning 25, I wanted to go somewhere awesome for my birthday dinner. Because I am not from Myrtle Beach, I had to do some research on my dining options. After looking on Yelp and many different restaurant websites, I decided Rioz would be the place to go. In Baltimore, we have Fogo de Chao, which is a Brazilian steakhouse with the same concept as Rioz: a salad bar and unlimited servings of meat brought to your table by gauchos. However, one thing that I could tell before we went to Rioz is that it is not as expensive as Fogo de Chao. Dinner at Fogo de Chao is $50 a person and only $35 at Rioz. I hoped that Rioz would be as good as Fogo. Earlier in the week my boyfriend and I drove by the restaurant to make sure it looked like a nice enough place. It was a beautiful building, big sign, patio with outside seating (although I didn't see anyone eating there, but only people with their laptops waiting for a table inside I'm guessing), and plenty of free parking. We called the day before to make a reservation, but we were told that the restaurant does not take reservations. We called back and asked to make a reservation and spoke to someone else. Rioz does in fact take reservations, but you have to make them well in advance or they will be full. We were prepared for a long wait since it seemed like a popular place to eat. Our wait was one hour and thirty minutes to one hour and forty five minutes. Since the restaurant is down the street from the mall, we went to the mall and came back to the restaurant in an hour. We still had some waiting time left, so we sat at the bar and got drinks. A server came into the bar and offered us complimentary cheesy balls while we waited. They were warm and delicious! After our nearly two hour wait, our name was called and we were taken to our table. The restaurant is very busy and full of energy. Servers were always on the move as well as salad bar goers. We had two servers and they introduced themselves and informed us on how we were going to use the round cards that were in front of us. They were on the red side, which meant none of the servers, or in this restaurant, the gauchos, would stop by our table. When we were ready, all we had to do is flip the card over to the green side and the gauchos would come to our table and offer us servings of the meat they were carrying. We decided to go to the salad bar first. This salad bar is amazing and has so much. The sushi was a big hit at our table. Large pieces of tuna and salmon were offered as well as sushi rolls with plenty of soy sauce and wasabi to enjoy. The fresh moz, prosciutto, and assortment of olives were another part that we really took advantage of. While enjoying our salad bar choices, we occasionally turned our cards over and the gauchos surrounded us with hot and juicy meats. I tried pretty much everything and it was all delicious. We weren't crazy about the shrimp, but all the others meats were fantastic. The best ones were filet com bacon and peito de frango com bacon - steak and chicken wrapped in bacon. It was heaven. Our servers also dropped off servings of mashed potatoes, fried bananas, and polenta. The polenta was sooooo good! Even though it is not meat, one of the gauchos walked around with a grilled pineapple dusted with cinnamon. He was short with a thick accent and I think he only knew how to say "pineapple?" and every time he came over to our table we said yes, just so that he would come back again. The pineapple is delicious. My sister doesn't even like pineapple and she had two servings. Our servers came around plenty of times to refill our drinks, ask if there was a specific meat we were waiting on, and just to make sure we were doing ok. If there was something particular that we were waiting on, our server would find the gaucho with the meat we wanted and direct them to our table. The service at this restaurant is phenomenal and even though it is unlimited servings and buffet style, this restaurant does it in the classiest way. When we were first seated, my parents told our servers that it was my birthday. During dinner, we saw the Rioz team of servers do their birthday celebration to about five other tables. Finally, at the end of our dinner, a team of no less than ten servers came to our table and belted out their birthday jingle. They gave me a nice little cake with "Happy 25th Birthday!" written in raspberry sauce on the plate. It was a great way to end our experience in Rioz. Like I said in the beginning, Baltimore has a Fogo de Chao, which is also a Brazilian steakhouse. It is awesome. Rioz is better. ;)

5 Stars! Top notch! Brilliant! No cheap tho! 35 dollars a head plus drinks. But certain worth it! No doubt about it. Its an all you can eat steak house, but they have lamb, pork, sausage, and chicken. The quality was brilliant! Definitely not cheap cuts. The only problem is that they bring the meat to you and you don't realise how much your eating till your belly has popped. At least when you go up, you know your portions!

Made reservations as recommended by several brochures and reviews and was told on the phone it was not a reservation but priority seating. No big deal. Restaurant was easy to find and parking was not difficult. The restaurant is located next to a busy tourist shopping center so I assumed it would be much more difficult. We visited on a Friday evening our reservation was at 7pm, and the restaurant was packed. Wall to wall with people. This didn't necessarily bother me as I had two children and this works great as they are not always quiet. Though I didn't expect to be seated right away I didn't think we would have a long wait since we didn't call ahead ( 4 days) to book our time. We saw several parties seated prior to us. We ended up waiting 25 minutes to be seated ( the regular wait for parties without a reservation was 45 minutes) and it was only after my husband spoke with the hostess who was seating parties that we were seated. What frustrated me is he brought up the fact that we had a reservation and it seemed she wasn't aware. The communication can improve between the initial person taking names and those that are seating parties. Why book a reservation if there is going to be a wait that is almost as long as a party without? I got the impression we needed to be slightly dressed up rather than the typical beach attire of flipflops but this was not the case. The dissapointment with the waiting to be seated was overlooked by the amazing food. As crowded and busy as the restaurant was it was not an issue having different portions of meat brought to our table. My favorite was the pineapple. Kind of ironic being that its primarily meat that the restaurant seems known for. I tried several different portions of meat, the flavor was great and the meat was cooked well. I noticed some revews listed having issues with how the meat was cooked as well as being too salty. We did not experience this. My children both shared a oreo dessert which they loved. We all ate from the salad bar. Both of my children stated they enjoyed the food although there werent many items from the salad bar my 6 year old would eat. The price was average considering the tourist attraction of Myrtle Beach. Dessert and drinks were a separate charge. There is no charge for smaller children which I agree with. They don't necessarily eat enough food, especially when the adults and older children meals are priced at the cost they are. We were glad to find out there is a closer location to our home. As a whole we enjoyed our visit and when visiting Myrtle Beach we will return, although if we visit and have issues with the wait we would be likely to visit another restaurant we have never been to.

RIOZ is a yearly stop for me while at Myrtle Beach. As in the past, they certainly met my expectations this year. One could make an entire meal just on the salad bar--and then comes the meat--all kinds of meat cooked to all varied levels of doneness. Also of note is their attention to children. We had several in our group and they were given special attention by the staff.

Good value In and out fast, you can eat in 30 minutes and get a full meal. Quality is OK Salad bar is totally weak but decent..if you came there to eat salad you should go home anyways. Meats, great variety and frequency, so be hungry, dont lounge, and buckle up. Service was a little frazzled and i felt like the place was "dirty" tables werent clean, etc..

Go hungry. Go hungry. What? Go hungry. We like to have dinner here during visits to Myrtle Beach. It's your typical Brazilian steakhouse -- lots of delicious meats on skewers and a salad/sides bar packed with yummy options. Don't miss the Alcatra (top sirloin) and filet mignon. Our kiddo got a kick out the server coming to our table with a skewer of chicken nuggets, especially for little eaters. Fun touch. :) RIOZ gets crowded and it's pretty loud inside, making it sometimes tough to talk. I think they take reservations on some nights, and Sundays are half price (no reservations accepted). The parking lot is strangely designed -- do not turn right and go in front of the restaurant. It's a dead-end and if cars follow you, it's a fun trick to all get turned around.

This was the second visit for us here. I approached everything different this time, with the emphasis on the 15 cuts of meat, to me this is the best thing to come for. I agree with other reviewers, w/ the buffet being a bit of a let down compared to most of the meats they bring to your table. The Brazilian rice from the buffet was really good, but everything else is just okay to me. As far as the meat go, they are piping hot, fresh and all cooked to release the particular meats own natural flavor, which is great. The only disappointing meat, was the ribs & Parmesan tenderloin (we're tough & dry), everything else was very tender and juicy. I recommend pacing yourself and enjoying each item slowly. We were with a big group and they bring the food so fast it's overwhelming and for the price you pay, it needs to be slower and not rushed. Would recommend for anyone to try at least once!

Came here last year while on vacation with the boyfriend, and made it a point to visit here again this past week when we returned for a trip. It's an all you can eat concept, so be sure to starve yourself prior to visiting.. You start off at the salad bar which has a great amount of options. I would describe it more as an appetizer bar as only a portion of the options are salad related. They also had pasta, rice, sushi, different types of cheeses and cooked potatoes. My recommendation is to not fill yourself up with all the great offerings as you still need room for the main course... Then, the main event. Once you flip your card to the green side, different servers will approach you offering various cuts of meat on a large knife or scew to add to your plate. And everything. tastes. good. The filet mignon was by far my favorite, and the flank steak was a close 2nd. They also leave a few side dishes for you to enjoy them with. If you still have an wiggle room in your belly, then treat yourself to dessert. The biggest challenge was choosing from all the different options (cheesecake, Oreo cheesecake, red velvet cake, flan, etc.) I opted for the flan, and boy was it great! The ONLY thing that would make this place more amazing for me is if they provided some plain or seasoned rice, as I like to enjoy well cooked meats with a grain. If ever in the area, just do yourself a favor, and dine here. You will not leave hungry!

came here while on vacation. sadly to say my boyfriend & I got really bad service. to start off, the server was mad at us for some reason. he slammed my drink on the table because I had been eating & I asked the manager came around asking if we needed anything-obviously I had been eating without my drink. then my server brings it afterwards & literally slammed it down on the table. so after that I was scared to even ask him for anything. I mean it's common sense (which I get isn't so common) if you're paying 50$ a person shouldn't you get treated a little better than that? anyways the food itself is good that's why I gave 3 stars. & there was a gentleman, Greg, who was so sweet to us. he took care of us even though he wasn't our server. he even made us feel a little better because he kept trying to make us laugh. we had asked to speak to the manager again to complain because not only had our server been rude, he never came back to check on us. the manage offered for us to come back the next day for half off- thanks but we passed the offer because that definitely didn't make it seem like we mattered. I will be back to mrytle beach in August & if I go back I will see if Greg is there to assist us :) but other than that my impression of this restaurant was not a good one. but from the looks of reviews maybe they have gotten rid of that bad apple! other than that rioz does offer good quality Brazilian style barbecue. make sure to try the grilled pineapple :)

All you can eat meat...challenge accepted! I've visited this particular Rioz several times and always enjoy myself. The second you flip your colored card over (green for meat, red for not now) Gauchos appear out of nowhere with a loaded skewer. I affectionately refer to them as, Meat Ninja! Seriously, don't flip that card over unless you are ready to jam, because they will be on you. "Bacon wrapped chicken, sir?" Yes, yes indeed!! In addition to a tasty selection of animal flesh, they've also got a great Mediterranean salad bar. Lighter appetites may actually enjoy this option more while saving a few dollars. Salmon, sushi, olives, cheeses, the works! In fact, I plan to just hit the salad bar next time I go in. Trying to watch the pounds and I have zero self discipline if I'm given the power of the meat card. Crowds seem more manageable in the fall and early spring. If you catch them during a rush, you can always relax in their swanky little bar until your table is ready. Prices are appropriate for the level of service you'll receive. The celebratory atmosphere makes this is a great 'last supper' type of place before heading home from vacation. It'll also serve you well for a first date! Save some room for the grilled pineapple and thank me later. -Neil

Get ready for a full on assault on your digestive system. To start off, you'll have access to their salad bar (hey, gotta be somewhat healthy). However, this one is a bit elevated compared to what you normally think of when it comes to salad bars. I was able to put together a nice antipasto (being Italian, that's a big thing). Then comes the second course in which you will undoubtedly get the meat sweats. There really wasn't anything I didn't like in terms of the meats. I mean, bacon wrapped chicken and filet mignon, top sirloin just to name a few. My personal favorite was the sea-salt crusted Picanha which was one of the best bites of steaks I have ever had. Very few cons. If you have a vegetarian in your party, they can pay a lower price just for the salad bar, but they would be missing out on the experience everyone else is having so I'd feel bad about that. Table space can possibly be an issue (although this might've been bad red/green card management on our part). Lastly, lots of hustle and bustle and noise, so maybe not the best romantic dinner spot but a great casual environment.

I went to Rioz for my mother's 80th birthday. What more can I say than I did leave with the meat sweats. The food was very good. The "salad bar" have a great variety of tasty items to select from. The meat was well prepared and bountiful. If you left there hungry it was not the servers fault. The drinks didn't suck either. My brother who travels to Rio several times a year was impressed with their Caipirinhas. He said they were a good as any he has gotten in Brazil. The staff were to a person all friendly and helpful. We kept telling my son we were going to end up with the "meat sweats" and as kids his age are prone to doing he asked the hostess, "What are the meat sweats?" Her reaction was precious. She was totally confused by the question but was terrifically sweet trying to answer his question. Atmosphere 4 - It is nice. Well apportioned and comfortable. For such a big restaurant it didn't feel like you were in a barn. Service 5 - I have no complaints about our service. We had a table of 10 and they were able to accommodate us with ease. I would go so far as to say they were in a word relentless. They just kept bringing meat and more meat. Wave after delicious wave of meat. No one in our party found themselves having to wait for seconds or twelfths as the case may be. Every member of the staff I interacted with was friendly and helpful. Cost/Value 3 - I would give them higher marks for value but it was not cheap. Even at $40 a head I felt I got a decent value for my money. Food 5 - The food was really good. The selection of items on the salad bar was more than adequate but who am I trying to kid. I did not go to a Brazilian Steakhouse for vegetables. I came for meat and they delivered. The grilled pineapple made for a nice respite from the waves of protein.

My family and I did our traditional dine at Rioz last night. Last year was the first year that we were able to call ahead so when I called ahead, they told me they could not take reservations, that they had a full house and not taking call a heads but we can come in and wait. When we got there, we were told 1.5-2 hours. Fine - we put our names in and walked around Broadway. About an hour later we retuned and were told 20 minutes. Fine - we waited another 40 minutes. We were told we were next. 5 families of a similar size were called and seated. We spoke to them again - what gives! After another 20 minutes, we were finally seated. Our waiter was Eric. He was friendly and prompt. The food was delicious and we enjoyed our time there, with the exception of excessive wait.

Heard/read good reviews of this place. Walk in and felt overwhelmed by how quickly everything was explained. Did not eat much from salad bar, expecting to fall in love with the meats. Was not impressed. Everyone flocked to the table right away you had no clue what to get and they didn't bother asking the woman what done-ness she preferred. If I could have gotten medium of whatever I was offered I might be able to give 4 stars, but most was tough and dry to me. Fiancé enjoyed his bc he had a say, but did not like it because of the price and could have gone somewhere and gotten a cut that he enjoyed. Too many options at once and not everything was good. Would rather go to a buffet to make my own decision or a normal steakhouse. Grilled pineapple with cinnamon and flan for dessert was delish!!

This was not my Frost trip to a Brazilian Steak House, but it was certainly the best one I have been too. Located near Broadway at the Beach, behind Planet Hollywood. The restaurant is LARGE, loud and bustling. RioZ is owned by the same restaurant group that owns TBonZ steakhouses. The service was very pleasant, though the main waiter was often slow with our drinks. As others have said, be prepared to eat LOTS! You start at the salad bar, which had, A tropical fruit salad, Pasta Salad, Caesar Salad, Mixed Greens, Several Cheese selections, Rice and Brazilian beans to name a few. Then you begin to get the meat. We had, Top Sirloin, Top Sirloin house special, Flank Steak, Chicken Wings, bacon wrapped Filet Mignon, Pork Ribs, Beef Ribs, and Baby Beef. I was trying to wait for the bacon wrapped chicken and the Parmesan stuffed pork loin but the entire 90 minutes we were there, it never came out. They also had pork sausage, lamb, and garlic marinated beef. All of the meat was juicy and succulent, though some of it was done too much for my taste. The dessert is extra, and was decent, but I have had better. Our party had the Chocolate cake with white chocolate and chocolate mousse filling, Key lime Pie and the Strawberry Ice Cream concoction. The key lime pie was fine, I did not care for the crust. The Chocolate cake was good, but I am about 99% sure it came out of a box. I did not try the Strawberry Ice Cream thing, but everyone said it was the best of the 3 we ordered. So, to sum it up, go here is you have a BIG appetite, are new to the unique experience and love meat. After the meal, if you still have room, go somewhere else for dessert.

Went here for dinner on a Thursday night. Our luck, it was prom night, start of baseball season and ladies night. The place was packed. We had a 8pm reservation, which due to the above mentioned, we got seated at 8:30pm. Which was not bad considering there was a 40 + party waiting to be sat. When we finally got seated, things moved pretty smoothly. A little hick-up of not having plates for the meat, but other than that the service was pretty good. The 3 stars is really based on their food. Some of the meats were very good an the others I thought were over cooked. The salad bar I thought was just ok, good selection just either not fresh or again over cooked. Even the desert (that is not included in the meal price) was just ok. I am glad that we went on ladies night because I was 1/2 off. This place would not be worth the $36 per person, to me.

The food was ok. Service was horrible. We were completely rushed out. They gave us our bill and cleared the table while one of us was still eatting. They tried to take away our drinks while still eating. I would never go back there again!

Come with a BIG appetite. Maybe hold off on eating for a week or so before hand... This is a very nice, classy, all you can eat Brazilian Steakhouse. Not cheap, ($35 flat rate or $19 for vegetarians) but very much worth it both for the yummy food and the experience. Similar to many Brazilian Steakhouses, servers constantly come around with skewers of meat and cut you off pieces of the different items. The paprika pork, filet mignon, and roasted pineapple were a few of my favorites. The server also comes around with a few dishes that go on each table including excellent plantain. They also have a full salad bar, shrimp cocktail bar, sushi bar, and an assortment of different veggie dishes. Vegetarians can definitely get by even though I don't think a steakhouse is the best idea for a vegetarian. The service is excellent, very attentive and eager to please. Drinks and desert are additional. I had a slice of chocolate mousse cake that was amazing. Not something you want to tackle on your own after a full meal! This is a winner, 5 stars

Great food, hot off the spicket right to your table, great service always prompt with new food coming around, I had to flip to the red a couple times so I could eat what I had on my plate. Very fullfilling meal but you definatly pay for what you get.

Our family is on vacation, so we decided to try a brazilian steakhouse for the first time. The salad bar is very good, sushi was a hit with our family. When you are finished with the salad bar you let the waiters know that you are ready for meat by flipping your red coaster over to green. They came with plenty of meat, steak, chicken, lamb, sausage, etc. Everything except the pork(very dry) was very good but nothing was like the best I have ever had. While it was a good experience, I would have rather gone to a very nice steakhouse for the price of the meal. $35.00 plus desert of $7.00 plus drinks. Good but certainly not great

  • King D.

Pow My Niggas I cant even lie they ambush you with all kinds of meat.... pause its a great place to visit if you are on vacation at Myrtle food is great the fill your drink up like 30 times but hey Im built for that shit dont try to fill me up with yo drink give me that fillet mignon wrapped in bacon ny strip steak and all that a little pricey but well worth every penny its close to 40 bucks per and kids are like 20 if they are over 7 years old but yes it is good

This was my first time at a Brazilian steakhouse, there was an hour wait but they offered us 50% off coupons if we returned on a different day. We waited and it was well worth it. The restaurant was pretty on the inside and the ambiance was still pretty cool despite it being crowded with a high school basketball team and jam packed, making it crowded and difficult to carry a conversation. At least 3/4 of the staff seemed to have Brazilian/Portuguese accents, which made it seem more authentic. the salad bar was average maybe a little above average, don't bother much with it though, save room for all the different selections of meats servers will offer you constantly throughout your meal. They also served unlimited sides (mashed potatoes, grilled bananas, grilled pineapple) that were excellent. Pace yourself, i was stuffed within 10 minutes. Well worth it, very fun experience.

Great food. All you can eat. Always fresh. Awesome presentation and service. Worth the $35 price!

  • Amanda M.

Let's make this quick. The food was alright, but Rioz seemed to be a mix between Olive Garden and Texas de Brazil. The waiters were overwhelmed. There are too many people in the restaurant at once. Compared to Texas, it's okay I guess.

    (3)
  • Karma M.

I have ate at better brazilian steakhouses and will not return to this one. if its ur 1st time u will think its great. Salad bar sucks, bread sucks, mash potatoes sucks. Staff was great, meat selection was okay but not $100 worth. The only good thing is my kids ate for free. Oh yeah, my tongs was dirty and I forgot to talk to management about it.

Great place, however you ned to prepare before you go. You must be ready to eat to get your monies worth. Kids eat free under 6......I have 2 so that was nice! Me and the wife bought one of the Myrtle Beach coupon books our first day here for $20 and we have used it everywhere. There is a $10 off coupon for this place that we used with no hassle. Meats are great and they have some good options. If you don't see the emat gauco you want all you have to do is ask your server.....they are very attentive!! Great service here. The sides guy walks around and offers them up, however he didnt speak english and just put some random stuff on my table....we just laughed it off and ordered them from our server. They try and stall you when you first arrive to try and get you to eat some salad...just tell your server to bring the meat plates and they will. Bread is no good IMHO. They said the wait was 25 minutes when we arrived but it was 10 so don't get discouraged. You go there hungry and then being told you have to wait 25 minutes can get you bitter...lol Try the pineapple..it is awesome!!

This was my first experience at a Brazilian steakhouse and all I can say is wow! Rioz offers a fun dining experience unlike anything I'd experienced before. The service was excellent -- the manager was very friendly and stopped over a few times to chat with us. The food was delicious and varied and the atmosphere was fun. I'm not a huge meat-lover, but even I was blown away!

Topnotch quality meat, service, and salad bar! If you have never tried a brazilian steak house, this will be a good experience. The desserts are separate from the main buffet, we got the turtle cheesecake. It was worth it.

Didn't even make it to the salad bar. Once the Gauchos started bringing the meat, just dove in to the deliciousness. Great service and experience. If you're visiting Myrtle Beach, this is a must for dinner!

Come hungry. This is your standard Brazilian steakhouse with a dozen different meats coming around to your table. In addition you get mashed potatoes, baked bananas, some sort of fried cornbread thing, bread, etc. Then the salad bar. Do not skip this if you have vegeterians in your group, the salad bar has sushi and fish and tons of other options. Not cheap by any stretch - $36.50 for the fully monty, $22 for just the salad bar.

Goodness this place is delicious. Our favorite meats included the garlic sirloin, ribeye and bacon-wrapped filet. The salad bar had an extensive offering including sushi. Only downside was that they took my silverware when I asked them to take a plate away and had to wait awhile to get another set.

This was really a great place, I have never experienced anything like this! My husband the carnivore was in heaven! I love the ideal of the buffet coming to me... So many different meats to choose from and they were all good; yes I tried them all; chicken, beef, lamb, sausage and pineapple. I enjoyed the salad bar even tried a quail egg! Don't fill up on the salad bar - go for the the meat! We had a coupon for a free desert; Shared a piece of chocolate cake it was OK but a let down after the amazing dinner! I suggest after dinner walk Broadway by the Beach.

  • Angelina W.

This restaurant was recommended to us, and we're glad it was! The service was FANTASTIC! The food was delicious! I am not a huge meat eater, so I ordered the buffet only and not the meat. There was plenty for me to eat even without the meat. On the buffet there were salads, pastas, fish, cheeses, asparagus, and items I was surprised to see such as quail eggs, cold shrimp, and even sushi. They bring mashed potatoes, polenta, cooked bananas and some type of bread to each table in addition to all of the other food. This restaurant is pricey, but certainly a nice place to celebrate a special occasion or treat yourself. The only downside of this restaurant is there were so many yummy dishes to try we ate way too much. Also, I did wish they would have let us take home a doggie bag --I felt bad wasting food they brought to the table.

  • Jeff T.

All I can even say is this place is amazing!!!!! Salad bar, tons of meat cooked perfectly!!!! And to top it off great service. I have been to some othe places like this but this one is my favorite. All around worth the $34 per person!! Def try this place if your in the area. Just bring a big appetite.

These guys know how to throw a lot of good food at you. The meats were good, but hold out for the end of the menu. They bring the cheap stuff first, ask for the good stuff. Their mojitos and keylime pie were good, but nothing was spectacular.

    (3)
  • Tom L.

Not too expensive. 39.99 pp. Which gets you unlimited meat. And trips to their salad bar. The advertise over 10 different meat selections so there seems to be quite a variety. The problem is they only come around with the same things over and over. You really can't ask for something different. This was not the real problem. The problem was the service. It was horrible. We had to wait for a table which was no problem. From the bartenders to the server to the meat cutters Everyone was rude. You can tell they are trying to push you out the door. Not worth it. Will never return.

  • Chris H.

Took some out of town friends here on a whim last night, and we had a blast! The price was well worth it for what you get. Make sure you come hungry! And while the salad bar had some really nice stuff there, don't fill up on it! The sushi that's on there however, is pretty decent. But the main draw is of course the meats... a wide range of fire grilled, seasoned to perfection choices of steaks, pork, chicken, and lamb. Everything I tried was very tasty! The bacon wrapped filet and chicken, flank steak, and top sirloin were among my favorites! Our server made sure to keep our drinks refreshed, while the gauchos were circling around like vultures (but in a good way!) I couldn't have been more pleased with the friendly, available service that we were provided! I will return next time with even more family and friends!

Without a doubt a meat lovers feast!! 15 different kinds of meat and it's all you care to eat! The salad bar has unique cheese and sides plus salmon, shrimp, tuna, and sushi. Huge assortment of desserts! A great dining experience! I can't wait to go back!!

    (5)
  • Ana Z.

Wow, the largest choice of meat I've ever seen at churrascaria. A bit pricy but they have everything your heart desires - sushi, salmon, salads, rice and beans, plantains. Interior is awesome too, it would work great for a romantic dinner or a big group of people. Great service and I think they have a pretty extensive wine list.

I have never been to a Brazilian Steakhouse before. Tonight I took my daughter here, as it was her first experience as well. As we entered, we were greeted by two hostesses, one of whom brought us to our table. Once we sat and the rest of the evening we were waited on by a revolving army of waiters, filling our glasses, directing us on the salad and appetizer buffet table, and the endless spears of beef, pork, lamb, chicken and sausages. The room was a bit noisy and it was a bit hard to hear the waiter, but it didn't matter, the army was locked and loaded. We enjoyed the salad and appetizer buffet, which had Cesar Salad, red and green leafy greens, shrimp, sushi, crab salad, garbanzo beans and quail eggs to name a few items. Once we digested that (or so we thought), we had previously been instructed to turn a disc on the table to green when we wanted the meats, then turn it back to red when we didn't. We were provided with cheese bread on the table, as well as mashed potatoes, fried bananas and fried polenta (I think that is what it was). We turned our discs to green and the army was prepared with their succulent meats, which they sliced at the table, and our only job assigned was to use a pair of tongs to assist, so the meat wouldn't fall, and put it on our plates. All of the meats were flavorful, juicy and tender. The whole experience is like nothing I encountered before. When we were finished, we ordered coffee and the dessert tray came by with chocolate mousse, crème brulee (the real thing) and I can't recall all the others, but they were equally irresistible. The manager even came to the table at one point during our meal to introduce himself and to make certain we were happy. I had never been to a steakhouse like this before, but it will not be the last time I'll be seen at Rioz. Dinner was $36.00 per person, drinks, coffee and dessert was extra. Go with a hearty appetite. You may need to make reservations on weekends, I'd call and check, but there was no problem accommodating us tonight without them. I'd call this place one of the best on the beach.

  • Ben G.

Wish I could provide pictures (forgot my iPhone). We have eaten at Rioz every time were in Myrtle Beach. This place is all about the meat not the salad bar. The steak, chicken, lamb, and sausage are delicious. The seasoning they use can't be found anywhere else. You can't get a bad piece of meat. I'm usually a steak man but the small lamb chops are sensational. I bet few people select the sausage to their detriment. The best I ever had. There is one Cardinal rule to follow before dining here. You must be famished in order to justify spending $36.95. I'm not saying it's not worth it, but I for one cannot eat $37.00 bucks worth of meat which is the main attraction. The Caipirinha's are $6.95 at the bar and I believe $9.00 bucks at the table which I thought was excessive... although we got a bottle of Cab for like $26 bucks. Go here with the appetite of The Man vs Food guy and you'll come out a winner!

Visiting Myrtle beach this week on vacation, we were dying to try this place. We knew it was on the pricey side, but it would be worth it since we both love Brazilian bbq. Well for $36.75 a person and an astonishing $36 for a pitcher of sangria (WTF!), we got over cooked tasteless meat and something just north of the bottled cheap sangria sold in liquor stores. Only sweeter, if that's possible. There are no menus- just a flat rate for unlimited meats and salad bar. The salad bar was very good and plentiful, except for the shrimp which were so overdone they were actually dry. I did not even know that was an option for shrimp. The service was very friendly and extremely attentive, but the food was just not good so who wants more of it? The lamb was so dry it seemed to have died of natural causes. What they called medium rare was clearly very well done. We have our favorite Brazilian places at home, and at nearly double the cost, Rioz did not even come close.

I love this place. It's very pricey but no more expensive than any other place like it. Let's be honest, you get what you pay for. So we splurged on this dinner & had no regrets. The meat was excellent, the service was excellent & the salad bar was excellent. I plan to visit again while on our next vacation to Myrtle Beach.

The salad bar and bread was pretty good. The meat on skewers was ok! Everything was just ok. Customer service was amazing!!! Meat just needed a little more flavor idk. Prolly would not go there again.....$80 for 2 people

This hands down was one of the best dining experiences I have had in a long time the service was spot on the salad bar was awesome from the bacon potatoes to the shrimp one of the best salad bars ever then we come to the meats no meat got was bad the filet minion was the best when I come back to this area I'll make sure I come back here

Wow I don't know where to start, we went to Rioz on the last night on our stay at Myrtle Beach and oh my goodness it did not disappoint, first off the atmosphere is just plain awesome, all these servers floating around with different types of meats anywhere from filet mignon, top sirloin, ribs, chicken, bacon wrapped beef, bacon wrapped chicken, cooked pineapple, which all those was amazing, they have a wine cart floating around as well were she makes the drink right in front of you, they also have a dessert cart floating around with high quality slices of cake on it, we got the cheesecake and it was unreal, cheesecake factory can't hold a candle to this slice of cheesecake we had, the price is steep but don't let that scare you off, it's around 30 dollars a person but seriously guys you get what you pay for and if I went to the local store and actually purchased the quality and quantity of meats I devoured at Rioz it would have cost me 100 dollars, and last but not least my lady has a peanut allergy so she has to be cautious on the kind of dessert she consumed, the manager came out and talked with her and he was polite as can be and he went above and beyond his call of duty and actually went back to the back and took pictures of the ingredients of each slice of cake she was interested in, that was just unreal and I would give this place 10 stars if I could, so please don't leave Myrtle Beach until you eat at this place!

    (5)
  • Stephen H.

I'm not entirely sure if Rioz should be called a "steakhouse" of any kind. Every single piece of meat brought to my table was extremely well done. Asking for rare or medium rare is pointless because the servers have no idea what they are serving. Expect dry, tough meat. Considering the cost of eating here I expected better. Well done Rioz!

  • Christy J.

Let's start with the salad bar. Lots of variety and very fresh. I sampled the cheeses, pastas, chicken salad, shrimp cocktail, mushrooms and asparagus just to name a few. All were very good! I know the salad bar is probably a ploy to fill you up before the meat arrives but the items are delicious and worth a try! Now the meats. I tried the sirloin, pork ribs, lamb chops, sausage and garlic steak. Sirloin was very flavorful but a little chewy. Pork ribs were good and had somewhat of a smoky flavor. Lamb chops were very tender. Garlic steak was full of flavor and also very tender. Again, all very delicious! I stayed away from the desserts and other sides such as polenta and fried bananas. But members of my party were pleased with them. The wait staff was very friendly and attentive! They did an awesome job! This place is pricey but it is so worth it! Please give it a try!

We were here as a large group, in addition to getting the buffet we got two bottles of wine. I thought that the quality of the food including the buffet was really good. The one think I would recommend is if you would like a particular meat make sure you ask your waiter. The pineapple is a must!!! I

Having been to a couple brazilian steakhouses I was looking forward to our visit to Rioz all day, but unfortunately it just wasn't worth all the excitement. We were met by friendly staff at the front door and taken to our seat where a waiter greeted us with a scowl on his face. There seemed to be a bit of a language barrier between us and him, but we finally got it conveyed to him what we wanted to drink and we were off to enjoy our meal. The salad bar has a decent selection of cheeses, bread, and salad fixings. They also offer sautéed veggies, rice and beans, and the highlight of the meal was the bacon potatoes. Lets face it though, we weren't there for the potatoes. When the meat started to come out the first selection of meat was a filet that was cooked perfectly. That filet was the last piece of meat I had that was any good. Meat after meat came out well done and charred. After throwing about 10 pieces of meat to the side I was so aggravated that I just wanted to leave. We left an all you can eat meat fest still hungry and disappointed.

Pretty darned good "all you can meat" place. Been to other churascarrias, including Texas de Brazil a few times, and I think I like this place better. The meat is generally seasoned well, though there were a few more gristly cuts than I would've expected. Also, we definitely didn't get to see all the meats... flank steak came around several times, the lamb once, and never saw the filet mignon, even after asking for it. The grilled pineapple was good though. The salad bar is better than most - the sesame noodles were the stand out for us. The shrimp cocktail, on the other hand, was subpar (shrimp was too soft). Overall, a definite recommendation. A little expensive, but that's expected for these types of places. Though not perfect, we'll be back.

Ate here on our last night of vaca and it was absolutely amazing. From the time we walked in the door until we left service was impeccable. The food was delicious, the salad bar was loaded with a variety of options including sushi, gourmet cheese and shrimp. The meat courses they brought around were always hot and absolutely delectable. The side items we received (loaded mashed potatoes, fried bananas and mac and chees for the kids) was simply devine, the grilled pineapple made me salivate for more lol. The staff was warm, curteous and professional. We will be back! Children under 6 eat free. The kiddos got a big kick out of flipping the coasters from red to green for them to bring more meat around. It is definitely a fun experience worth the cost and time. And make sure you are near starving before you come because you will get FULL!!!

We had our anniversary dinner at Rioz. The service was good. The manager was amazing. He made sure we tasted all the dishes we desired and sent a piece of cake for our anniversary. Very thoughtful. The beef ribs were incredible. We also enjoyed the Parmesan crusted pork. Yum!!! So full but so pleased with our dining selection.

This is our first time at Rioz and it rivals other Brazilian Steakhouses we have eaten at in San Francisco and Manhattan, NY. The produce was very fresh, especially the asparagus and the beets. The salad bar was well stocked. After we finished our salads, we turned the card to green and immediately started with the house special sirloin. Then the flank steak was next followed by the Leg of Lamb and Lamb Chops which were superbly prepared. All the meats were seasoned just right, not to salty. The service was impeccable. Antonio and the other servers made sure we had everything we wanted. Everyone was very attentive to our needs. Then came the desert tray. Both the Flan and the Oreo Cookie Ice Cream Cake were outstanding. The prices were very reasonable for what we got. We would have paid twice what we paid in San Francisco or Manhattan. If I ever come back to Myrtle Beach, Rioz would be one of the reasons.

This was the second Brazilian steakhouse I had ever been to (first was Fogo De Ciao in Baltimore). The price ($36) was cheaper than Fogo which was nice. The salad bar also had more than just vegetables, such as shrimp, sushi, potatoes, and fruit. As far as the meat goes, it was very good although it wasn't quite as good as Fogo. I have a nut allergy and the manager and waiter were both very helpful. That was a huge plus for me. Waiters were all polite and well dressed. Would go again

Great food...fast paced, fun atmosphere and the service was great. Went there for Valentines day, had a 1.5 hr wait but, we waited in the lounge and the drinks were good so the time flew by. We tried all the meats and found all cooked to perfection as to the type of the meat.

Have been here twice and the second visit has only enhanced the first. The salad bar was totally awesome !!! Vegetables were fresh crisp and very tasty. The sushi had great flavor as did the dressings and the cheese assortment. The several varieties of meats, the pineapple and roasted bananas were totally pleasing to the taste buds. As I said before, this was our second visit to Rioz in Myrtle Beach and I assure you we will be back.

This place was on my radar after reading the reviews and it did not disappoint. We arrived as they opened at 4 and we were seated quickly. The salad bar by itself would have been great (sushi, shrimp, anti pasta, salad and the works). The main course was phenomenal; all of the meats were well prepared and in abundance. You must try the grilled pineapple; I almost missed it but the wait staff told me about it. I had 3 slices and had I had room would have had more. It is grilled with cinnamon sugar and was very tender and juicy! Both of my boys, 6 and 12, said it was their favorite dinner of the week!

Great place ! Get in early as this place fills up quick. We were luck enough to just sneak in prior to the dinner rush. And lucky forbid we did ! The place was great. From the servers to the management, everyone was great and accommodating. The food was off the chart. More than this bottomless pit could muster... And that doesn't happen often. For what you will pay for a decent meal elsewhere, come here and get stuffed. Great salad bar, perfectly seasoned meats, and delicious desserts ! Don't miss this place is you have the chance.

Pretty much a Fogo experience... Meats were good, especially the lamb. The beef cuts were a little chewy and fatty for my tastes though. Never saw the beef or pork ribs. The grilled pineapple is a must try. Our server had zero personality and came to the table twice the whole time. Didn't like the "pushy" drink & dessert cart set up. Three stars is generous here only because it is upscale and all. Sorry, we won't be back with all the other options you have in Myrtle Beach.

Go hungry! The salad bar could be a meal in itself! Once you flip your card to green, servers swarm your table with delicious cuts of meat! Try everything! Price was around $37 a person

Absolutely impossible to visit Myrtle Beach without a trip to Rioz! The absolute man meal - meat, meat, meat, and more meat!

Absolutely delicious! They keep the meat coming as long as your card is turned to green. Large buffet with many different items! It's the best filet mignon that I have ever eaten. Bring sample foods to your table also. I HIGHLY recommend this place if you plan to visit Myrtle Beach.

While visiting the family in Myrtle Beach, SC, one of the dinner options we decided on was the Rioz Brazilian Steakhouse and having never been to one of these types of places before I was surely game. The restaurant is very spacious and we arrived before a massive crowd had gotten there but mind you it was still very crowded. After the hostess seats you, we ordered a freshly made pineapple Mojito from the charming girl who was showcasing her skills at this craft on a table by table basis. Considering how tasty this drink was and wow very potent I felt that she was a master at mixology. The salad bar is very nicely stocked but you don't want to fill up too much on that stuff since this is all about the meat. I did get a couple of slices of prosciutto, salami and cheese and sampled their wonderful shrimp and yellow rice with Brazilian beans on the side. Now onto the main attraction. The way that this works is you have a little card circle and one side says "Yes, bring it on" while the other says "Not right now" and believe me if you have the green side showing the army of gauchos with meat spikes of all variations are right there to feed you. i felt it was best to get two small samples and then finish them before letting another onto my plate. The standout examples for me were the filet Mignon, the top round sirloin and the filet Mignon wrapped in bacon. I also tried the chicken wrapped in bacon, the sausage and some pork tenderloin but those first ones were my very favorite. They put a few fried bananas, some garlic mashed potatoes and polenta there as well and each were very tasty to my sometimes discriminating palette. Through it all the servers were friendly and made sure that you were enjoying yourself. If they did not have what you wanted they called to the server who had it. During dinner we even met one of the owners who was checking to see that all of his guests were having a good time at his establishment. With my family being new to the region he was very welcoming and told them of another couple of places that were under his guidance and spoke highly of the area. They already love the region but this was nice to witness. The only downside for some is that this can be a little pricy per person but the trick is to go there hungry, not to fill up on salad bar offerings and be prepared to eat. Leave your vegan friends home for this one as they will be miserable company and ruin the experience. The place seemed impeccably clean and the food was sensational on all accounts. From beginning to end this was a Grade A good time and I only wish I could go once more before I returned home to NYC but it will have to wait until I return to see the family again.

Inattentive staff, lower quality meat, & mistakenly added several charges to my bill which were a pain to get removed. I've been to Brazas in Raleigh, NC and their quality of meat & staff are much better.

Two words: food coma. Came here on an impromptu weekend getaway in mid-summer. After frequenting a few other Brazilian steak houses, I knew what I was in for. Tried calling for reservations on the day of our visit. They were "booked" for reservations, but told us we could show up and wait on a table. Upon arrival, we were told it would be about an hour wait. They wrote your name on a list, and call them over the loud speaker. The loud speaker is hard to hear in this environment. We were seated in about 45 minutes. Service was spot on. We were sat near the kitchen, so fresh meat was pouring out of the kitchen. Had to turn to red a few times to catch up. I get it. This is a vacation town. Families come here for time away from the day-to-day. This...is NOT the place to take your kids. More so, this is NOT the place to take your kids, and leave them unsupervised to rampage the restaurant. For a restaurant of this caliber, they should enact a child policy. I would go again. Meat was fresh and hot, sides were plentiful, staff was attentive and efficient. Dinner/drinks/dessert for two was around $150 plus tip.

Returned again to Rioz after an amazing time and meal last year. They did not disappoint! They have the best meats and full salad, they make handmade fresh drinks table side, and come around with a dessert cart as your meal is finished. The flan was incredible!!! Coming from a professional cook, that says a lot!

If you just went along for the salad bar it would be worth it. We are from the Philadelphia area and have gone to several Brazilian style steakhouses. I'm not going to lie, but the salad bar was one of the best we've been. But we were there for that steakhouse meat! The meat smelled little gassy, like a lighter fluid smell. The fillet was not as tender as we would've liked it. Some of the other meats were marinated but a little too salty. The staff was phenomenal! The wouldn't rule out this restaurant from Myrtle Beach. Definitely better than some of the calabash seafood restaurants we had!

Great restaurant. Tell a waiter what you want (rare flank steak) and they get get the waiter to come over with it. Salad bar is interesting and a meal in itself, decent wine list but it is smaller now (12-2014) than it was in the past. My favorite place for supper on the beach.

Amazing service and outstanding food. We were here on vacation and someone at another restaurant referred us to Rioz and it paid off. It is a bit pricey so be conscientious of that. However the food was unlike anything I have ever had and if you leave not satisfied and full I honestly think you are insane.

A meat eaters heaven! A regular stop for us, especially with a 16 year old son who is a walking stomach. He has to give up since it is bottomless portions of various cooked meats and an extensive salad bar. Rice, beans, pasta, even sushi are all part of an endless meal. Wear stretch pants!

This was among the best dining experiences of my LIFE. Service was spot-on. The "Salad Bar" should be renamed because it's so much more! Apple raisin salad, stand-out shrimp cocktail, cheeses, breads, fruit salad, beet salad and more! it was a shame to eat much of any one thing, no matter how good, because everything else was so amazingly good! The steaks were perfect -- and to my surprise, they had on the table to table skewers different cuts, some well done, others medium, etc. I had figured we'd be stuck with whatever they gave us, but boy was I wrong. The sirloin in particular was outstanding. This is the kind of restaurant that you just wish others would emulate - so many restaurants could learn so much from this place.

This place was my favorite experience for my bachelor party weekend. We got 430 reservations and seated right away. Shrimp bar and salads were great. The presentation of the meat delivered to yours amazing. Endless meat delivered to your table and so many cuts to choose from. You will enjoy the beef medallion with bacon. The mojitos are made fresh in front of you and were top notch. MAKE RESERVATIONS. you will be waiting if you don't. The price is high but the quality, experience, hospitality makes it worth it. When I come back in town I will return.

Oh, this is the first time Yelp has led me astray. I'm so upset with myself and Yelp users. However, 99/100 is pretty good so I can't hold too much against you. Let me start off with the positives: Decor: Upscale, but not pretentious. Wonderful. 3/5 Service: Amazing! Food would come around every 2-3 minutes. In addition, one of my friends ordered pineapple juice and was given a can. However, one of the waiters said "we just made a batch of fresh pineapple juice" and and she got a litre of fresh juice and we were only charged $2.95. This is crazy cheap! Also, I ordered a mojito and they made it fresh in front of me. Awesome! 5/5 Salad bar: Pretty good, nothing special, but it was acceptable. 2.5/5 Negatives: Main course/entree: They had plenty of selections of pork, beef, chicken and lamb. The lamb was the only good thing. All the other meat was either too salty or too dry. 1/5. Overall, I'm not sure if I would go back if I were back in Myrtle Beach.. I've been to two Brazilian bbq's, with the other one being 451 in Chicago and that was so much better.

Great restaurant. All you can eat quality steaks and a great stand alone buffet are the main attractions of this restaurant. The wait staff is great and very accommodating. Eddy the manager came to greet us and made sure everything was great.

  • Mike F.

Delicious food at a great value ($36) when you consider the fact that it's high quality meat and all you can eat. I read a couple reviews where people said that their meats were well done which is ridiculous, they have medium rare and rare on every skillet and the default done-ness they slice for you if you don't request anything else is medium. They also have a salad bar that's all you can eat with really really good shrimp. Service was good, all the meats came around real fast if you had your card flipped over. The waiter was very attentive and asked us if we wanted anything in particular, the manager also seemed like a genuine nice guy. I think the gauchos (the guys who come around with the skillets) were a bit arrogant and saw everyone as "dumb Americans" tho. To touch on my personal negatives Caipirinha's were a surprise 9.75 on the bill though, also I was disappointed that they didn't have Iberian type sausages instead of just a regular old sausage that was cooked well. Overall 4/5 I would definitely go again but not anytime soon because its such a decadent and honestly gluttonous experience, you'd be ruining it if you went more than once or twice a year.

Absolutely Delicious! We recently visited Rioz for our anniversary. The entire staff was great. We never had an empty plate! Even if our card was on red, if they noticed our plates were empty, they stopped by our table to see if they could get us anything. It's a bit on the pricey side, but as long as you eat meat, you can't go wrong! And it had a great salad bar! As we were recovering from our food coma, my husband had already said he couldn't want to go back! And the pineapple....yum!

Went there for the very first time Last week, and it was amazing! The food was delectable, the customer service, superb! My favorite food of the night was the cinnamon pineapple! It was like a warm hug! I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Myrtle Beach, just be sure to fast the day before, so you're able to eat everything!

Have been to Rioz numerous times and never disappointed. The salad bar is always fresh and wonderful. The addition of the chimichurri sauce only upped the appeal of the bar. The meats are always cooked to perfection and plentiful; love the sausage and garlic sirloin. The wait staff and gauchos are always friendly and attentive. Other so called upscale restaurants could learn a lot from Rioz. Chima and Rioz are my favorite Brazilian steakhouses. The price of 40 is great compared to 56 a person at Chima. Please give it a try if your ever at the beach.

The place is amazing! Well worth the money not only with the quality of food but the quality of the staff. The manager Eddie is the definition of a true professional. The best restaurant manager I have seen in a long time he was so at tentative to the whole restaurant. Not only that from a management standpoint but, he leads from the front. He was busing tables and rearranging to make sure everything was in line and his waiters could spend more time with their guests By far the best Brazilian steakhouse I have ever been to. You will definitely miss out if you do not give these guys a shot!

  • Dave M.

Decently priced for what you get and the meats were great. The salad bar was smaller than some of the other Brazilian Steak houses we'd been to in the past but the items were better quality. Bring an appetite and enjoy!

This place has lived up to its reputation and well beyond. Delicious meats, an abundance of sides, great hospitality and perfect wine to complete the meal. All employees in the restaurant are professional and welcoming. My party and I entered around 8:30 pm and received an accurate quote time of 30 minutes. The restaurant uses a text message system to let you know when your table is ready which works out very well because you can see how many parties are ahead of you. My party was seated into the back corner of the restaurant. The waiter explained how things work there.. you go to the salad bar as often as you want for however much of whatever you would like. What they call a "salad bar" is really an anything you could want bar. They served items such as seaweed salad, sushi, zucchini, asparagus, roasted potatoes, brazilian rice and beans, almost any condiment you can need, any kind of salad you can imagine - you build it. For anyone hesitant about eating from a buffet- have no fear my fellow yelpers- I did see employees changing food to get fresh food on the buffet often. My boyfriend and I ordered a bottle of wine that the manager recommend (it was absolutely delicious). Dinner service works like this, flip your coasters to the green side and the men walking around with meat will know to stop by your table, red means you don't want any. We sat in the back corner of the restaurant and it actually surprised me how quickly the men made their way to our table to continue to offer us more meats. We actually had to flip our coasters back to the red side fairly quickly because so much meat had been offered in such a short period of time. The manager checked on us during our meal and also waved goodbye as we left. He set the tone for hospitality in his restaurant and it was obvious.

Wow Wow Wow! Incredibly delicious! Incredible service!! This was our first time to a Brazilian restaurant and I wasn't sure exactly how it worked but I must say this is by far a wonderful fun experience! The servers with the meat were so quick to come to the table when the card was flipped to fm green. Our favorite meats although they were all delicious were the sausage and the flank steak! Wonderful seasoning perfection on the temps, I mean it was like meat coma great!! The buffet of sides both plot and cold were so incredibly fresh and all looked so good you just wanted to like everything on your plate! Once we gave the go ahead for the meat we were brought mashed potatoes, fried plantains, and goodness I can't think of the third side but it was all delicious!! Best part was kids eat free and they have items that they can bring them if you would like that kids normally eat! Our daughter is 3 and she is an eater but she likes to eat what we eat and she was a happy happy girl with the food as well! The service was phenomenal it really was a great dining experience!

We dined here once before and it was just "ok" so I was hesitant to return. However, my husband and I are eating low carb so we thought we would give it another try. We're so glad we did! It was excellent! The meats were better seasoned and far more tender than we remembered from the last time. The service was excellent (honestly, it was excellent the last time, too) and salad bar items were very fresh. My son had a slice of Oreo Ice Cream Cake and he enjoyed that, too. BTW, the Chimichurri sauce from the salad bar is the perfect condiment for the meats and shouldn't be missed!

Not my kind of place..way way overpriced for this area especially for the ladies in our group who opted only for the salad Bar-- $17 craziness--and the salad bar was lacking a lot.....we've lived in this area a while now--23 years ..food was okay..nothing special except the way they present and serve it..waiters were a PITA then couldn't get the meat and fish we wanted..had to wait a long while for it...desserts were an option at the price they are charging they should be included.. I'd rather eat a 'normal' meal and relax in Outback or Flamingo than put up with this kind of a 'show'

  • Emily L.

Soo yummy and if you go hungry you really get your money's worth of food! The service was unbelievable ad I barely drank 1/4 of my water before being re-filled. I will definitely return! Thanks for a great experience all around! And thank you for quality meats cooked to perfection!

  • Amy B.

The service here is phenomenal. When we commented on this to the manager he told us that they work on the 'loop system'. Even though servers have assigned tables they step in and act if they notice a plate that needs clearing or a glass that needs refilling at another table. I don't know why more restaurants don't work that way. It made for a great dining experience. And, yeah, the food was great as well.

  • Keith W.

This was a traditional Brazilian steakhouse to say the least. The service was good and you are never left without your choices of meat. The food was average at best and I believe that I tried everything they offered on a skewer. The feedback from my dinner party was that the salad bar left a lot to be desired. Would I go back...no.

  • Dawn L.

This was a great place to eat. Best salad bar in town, although the sushi was a little poor. The meats were seasoned well, juicy and the service was great. Would recommend.

  • Randi T.

The food was impeccable! For all you meat eaters out there, this is the place for you! My boyfriend LOVES to eat meat and doesn't eat many vegetables or sides. This was the perfect place for him! Definitely worth the money! The meats were all cooked perfectly and tasted wonderful. Beware though, my boyfriend did get sprayed with meat juice by one of the servers by accident when he was scooting the meat back up on the skewer. However, the manager did come out with a tide to go pen and used it himself on my boyfriends shirt. (this was embarrassing for him but funny for me). It was a great experience overall. The waiters and waitresses will ask you if there is a specific meat you are wanting and they will go find the server with that meat and tell them you requested it!!! I will be back.

Excellent food, so-so service. 3rd time eating here. Salad bar has a good variety, meats are terrific and the grilled pinapples are a known weakness of mine. Where they come up short is the service, primarily the pace. The gauchos will come one after the other, and then nobody in sight for 10 min. This trip were ate on a Monday night where only 1/2 the dining room was being used. Step up the game on service and they'd get a 4.5 That being said I will likely be there on next years trip to MB

My family and I LOVE Rioz.. It's to the point of obsession especially in my mother's case. We live in Cary but we've taken multiple trips to myrtle beach just to dine there! I would recommend making a reservation as the place is often packed.. The one time we took a chance and didn't make a reservation we ended up waiting for 2 hours. We are not the most patient people and for any other restaurant we would have just left after hearing the wait time but not for Rioz! I mean, we did drive 4 and a half hours and spent hundreds of dollars on hotel rooms for the night just because we were craving their delicious food. Their cheese selection at the salad bar is amazingggg! Salads were good, as we're the sushi. My FAVORITE from the salad bar however was their rice and beans.. I could eat that for the rest of my life and be happy! The cheese balls that the servers bring to the tables were SOOO good! Made with tapioca flour, the texture is nothing like you've ever tasted! Their meat selection is awesome though lots of times we just stick with their lamb. The first time we went to Rioz they had these delicious shrimp but since that time I guess it's been taken off the menu.. Which is a shame because those were one of the best shrimp I've ever had. The service, like everyone else mentioned, is impeccable. Even though sometimes it feels as if we're being rushed a bit because of how fast paced everything is but every single server had great energy. It's always nice when the servers realize that there's a certain type of meat that you like and they'll constantly bring it over to your table. I really like their pineapples though sometimes the cinnamon is a bit much. Writing this review is making me crave Rioz again.. I think a trip to myrtle beach might be in order! :)

Rioz was my first experience at a Brazilian steakhouse and it was fabulous. I am so glad that my friend and I decided to stop here while we were on vacation in Myrtle Beach. We went after labor day so it wasn't very busy around Myrtle Beach and you didn't need reservations for the restaurant. However, you could tell that it was a fave of vacationers and locals because while not packed, it was still busy. I was not a fan of the sides they tried to bring around but the different meats were amazing. All of the waiters bring a different kind by and you let them know if you would like it or not. At a few points I couldn't keep up with the supply and had to pass a few times. One other great thing about Rioz is that they will make mojitos or caipirinhas at your table! Amazing! Skip dessert, they aren't very good and you will be too full after all of the meat.

Meat, meat, and more meat! My favorite was the bacon wrapped filet mignon. Delicious! We tried the salad bar, and basically waited in a long line for nothing really special. Next time we will follow my Dad's lead and stay at the table to get started on the meat! All of the meats we tried were tender, juicy, and tasty. The place is a carnivore's dream!

Excellent service, amazing food you will not go hungry! First time I have even tried the place and we had reservations for Thanksgiving. Salad bar was continually cleaned and well stocked. The meat selection is like 15 different types from sausages and chicken to 2 different filets. Go hungry..ps the flan is to die for.

My first time there, but Hubby's 3rd. Salad bar was fresh and varied. Meats were plentiful and came quickly. Well seasoned and tender. Service was very attentive. Would definitley recommend this restaurant if you're a meat lover! Also ordered the cheesecake and it was delicious! Had to take it to go as my eyes were bigger than my stomach.

Look we had to wait 2hr but it was half price night you can not beat that and the food was great. I was impressed with the number of folks that every time I asked the Meat guys to bring me something it was there in no time flat and they were like you wanted the lamb chops and I was like yes. We were celebrating a Birthday and they even brought us the cake with out singing. One of the other hilights was even on a night when they were offering half off and very crowded they had a special item Beef ribs that were to die for I don't mind paying 30 dollars for a meal when I can leave stuffed almost could not drive home. That you Riozs for making my night.

Love, love, LOVE this place! This is a must go to place on my list whenever we visit Myrtle Beach. Thr servers are VERY attentive, the selection is wonderful, and you just feel very satisfied at the end of your meal. We had our two and a half year old son with us, and they didn't make us feel like outcasts, and many of the waitresses commented on how well behaved he was being. I myself was surpised he wasn't overwhelmed, but he loved having someone new come over every few minutes.

Rioz is one of those places that has been recommended many times to visit so it was good to finally get to go. Our party of five had a wait of about 30 minutes. The dining room was VERY busy and difficult to get across with the gauchos, servers and other patrons making trips to the 'salad' bar. The salad bar was about $20 something and included some unusual items, salads rice, salmon and black beans. The meat option included the salads but was $30 something/person. Our server explained the process of letting the gauchos know when you wanted more meat: by flipping your coaster to green they will come by and ask if you want some of what they are carrying. Flip the coaster to red and they will stop asking. This is probably the aspect of Rioz that most of the people recommending it liked. I liked it as well.....at first. I would describe the process as an all you can eat buffet of meat that comes to you instead of vice versa. I did get to try leg of lamb only to find that I don't like leg of lamb. There were several kinds of beef, filet mignon wrapped in bacon, chicken wrapped in bacon, flank steak, house sirloin and several other meat options that I couldn't keep track of. I know that I liked a type of sirloin and also the flank steak the best but it was hard to figure out which gaucho had which type of meat... it was a bit confusing. They also brought out some cornmeal cakes, potatoes and fried bananas for everyone at the table to share. They did have some delicious looking desserts but we didn't have room, besides the hot pineapple was very good and tasted like a dessert to me! Overall the RIOZ experience was very interesting and I enjoyed it! The food was good but the service(team) was FABULOUS!

Through the buffet wasteland that is Myrtle Beach emerges a star all it's own! It has all the markings of a big flop. Location... tourist central. One flat rate..... leaves me thinking everything has been frozen at one point or another. BUT NO.... Rioz is a true breathe of fresh air in MB. Even if delicious mouth watering meat isn't your thing (mind is wandering....) they have a wonderful buffet with almost anything you can think of! And I can promise you that this is the one restaurant in MB where you will NEVER be abandoned by your bored, just waiting until the Broadway clubs open, server. There's no way you can walk away from this place thinking... "Eh... I'm just not satisfied." If you do than you didn't do it right....

This was a great experience, I never experienced anything like this before very clean, the servers were really nice, the food was great. You must have the sangria. The meat is well cooked, could use a little more flavor though. They lose one star because the hostess were sarcastic and dismissive.

we went here for Thanksgiving dinner. As others have stated one will be in almost a beef coma when you finish. The salad bar is great and the non-stop serving of meats at tableside was to die for. A meat lovers paradise!

OMG! Biggest mistake ever was eating something before going -- just don't! This place was very busy, very exciting to watch a bunch of gauchos running around with skewers full of meat and I mean scurrying around quickly thru the restaurant while slicing away. Don't forget to flip over your Green/Red Coaster next to your plate. Green means GO and these gauchos are quick to come by with a skewer full of something from the kitchen and will slice up meat in a heartbeat! Red means STOP so if you're not wanting any more food, just flip that coaster over! Salad bar should wait til last -- you never know how much meat you'll get and the salad might fill you up! D.A. said kids under 6 eat for free! Woo~hoo!! but unless the children are over 6 and can eat a man-sized portion of dinner, I don't recommend bringing them since this place is pricey and it would be a waste of money. But if you do bring your children, I do not recommend that you allow your small children help themselves to the salad bar -- they should remain seated while the parents get them something from the salad bar -- as there is alot of traffic. and I mean ALOT of TRAFFIC! Makes it tough for the Gauchos to get around the tables -- yours is not the only one who's waiting on fresh grilled meat! Perfect place for DATE NITE! Dressy is not mandatory but no flip flops and wife-beaters guys!

Service is four star at least. We were very well attended to and were offered everything before we had a chance to ask for it. I'm not a big meat eater. If you're not either, then Rioz isn't the place for you. They have what looks like a big selection on the salad/sides bar, but after browsing the selection for a moment, it seemed a little lame. If your eating habits resemble the lion's more than a rabbit's, then you'll want to know that the meat they serve is top notch. We were offered meats galore until we had gorged ourselves. I left feeling gross and meaty. My boyfriend left feeling full and happily carnivorous.

I was in Myrtle Beach for Spring Break, and the place we were staying had a guest book. Each page had room for guests to include their restaurant suggestion, and pretty much every other page recommended Rioz. After consulting Yelp, and not eating lunch that day, we headed to Rioz for our 6.30 reservation. Every Thurs in March was "ladies night" meaning half off the $34/plate for ladies. Some friends suggested I dress in drag, but I came with an appetite instead. We were seated within 5 min by friendly staff. The salad bar was full of fresh deli meats, cheeses, salads, and salmon, the latter being surpisingly tasty. The only thing I didn't like from the salad bar was the sushi, which was a bit dry. After the salad bar, it was time for the meat. Endless, delicious meat. Rodizio style. I suggest utilizing your fingers to turn over the stop/go card, because breaks will be necessary to sample all the fine meats. The meats that stood out to me were filet mignon, flank steak, and pork ribs. As we were ready for the check, a huge desert tray slowly slid in our direction. As the waitress told us the offerings, we couldn't resist. We had the cookies and cream ice cream pie, and yes, it was as good as it sounds. If you're ever in Myrtle Beach, head to Rioz!

We went at 8pm on a Thursday night in June, expecting to have to wait, but were seated immediately. Our server explained how everything worked and what would be available. The salad bar has a lot of good variety. From traditional house and Cesar salad to sushi rolls and fine cheeses, I was impressed. I do not recommend filling up at the salad bar though. The main course is the meat! As soon as you turn your card to green, the gauchos will be nonstop to your table to bring you great meat. With thick cuts they ask your preference as far as doneness. The leg of lamb and filet mignon were my favorites. I kept a menu open on the table to see what each item was as they brought it, and used a straw wrapper to keep track of what I had already had like a game of BINGO. It took a while to see a few items like the parmesan pork loin, but a server saw my menu and asked which I still wanted to try! Very attentive! Our water glasses never got as far as halfway empty, and we definitely left full and satisfied. We liked the grilled cinnamon pineapple saved for dessert. Rioz is pricey for a regular occasion, but it was great for a special night on vacation. Salad bar and meat is 36.50, not including desserts from the cart, wine and drinks.

We received a certificate towards a portion of our Dinner and we decided we would give Rioz a try. We called ahead for a Reservation and when we arrived my wife and I were seated immediately. The atmosphere was family friendly and inviting. The salad bar was awesome . . . they have almost anything you could want on a salad bar and more. My wife said she would have been happy with just the salad bar. I am a meat lover and you won't leave disappointed. The staff was helpful and friendly and the meat just kept coming: Beef, Lamb, Pork. Poultry and Fish. Don't forget to try the grilled pineapple - Awesome! I would love to go back this coming Summer . . .

Carnivores Delight! Rioz Brazilian Steakhouse is a meat eaters paradise! If you love the flavor of hot off the grill BBQ this IS the place to be! The beef and chicken are out of this world good- as well as the lamb, pork and sausage! The salad bar is pretty spectacular as well- how many salad bars have soft mozzarella balls? or quail eggs? If you go- go all the way and try a couple of the "Brazilian national cocktails" The CAIPIRINHA- Cachaça, lime, and sugar!! It's like a combination of rum and tequila, mixed with muddled lime and sugar- they are oh so good! The service and atmosphere is very good - You don't have to wait long for anything, every five minutes or so there's a dude with an overgrown shish kabob of sizzling meat tempting you...The night we went it was not too overly crowded- however, the place is suited for both couples and large groups. The only down fall of this all you can eat meat fest is the price~ However, somethings are worth a little extra? A good place for a little celebration dinner!

All you can eat meat $35 (plus tax = $40) salad bar only= $21 (plus tax?) Went there based on the amount of food we expect and the amount of MEAT we thought we could eat. Never been to a brazilian grille before but my brother had. The salad bar was very nice, good amount and interesting about of sides to chose from. The salmon they offered was not great, but things were fresh and clean. And offer other salads, breads and cheeses. The meat came as much as we wanted as long as we kept our piece of paper "Green". Good choices, but lots of beef.. and nothing was that flavorful besides the garlic filet. I know they want it to just have the taste of BBQ and meat, but I could use a little more flavor. The Pineapple was my favorite, I have to admit. As much as it was nice to have the meat available to eat as much as you want, you really can only eat so much to where your turned off... I think. Toward the end, we did not want to eat anymore meat, or anything off the BBQ, and did not feel that we ate $35 worth... It was a good experience, but the food wasn't amazing. If you haven't been to a brazilian steakhouse I guess it was a good experience, but $35 is a lot of money.. I think it could be spent better elsewhere for a GREAT steak and sides that you want to order.

Rioz was great. You walk in and the place is beautiful. We went early and didn't have reservations, but it got pretty busy so if you go later in the day I would suggest it. You start off with one of the best salad bars I've ever seen. Four of five different cheeses, three different kinds of olive oil, hearts of palm, raw tuna and salmon. After that they give you this round paper disc that is red on one side and green on the other. Basically red light/green light. So what happens is they have these guys that walk around with these giant sabers of rotisserie meat. Fifteen different kinds. Lamb, chicken, several differnet kinds of beef, lamb, prok, chicken and sausage. So when you put the green side up they offer what ever type they have at the time. They saw you off a hunk. You grab a few and turn your card over to the red side while you enjoy what you have. When you are done flip it over to green and start over. It is a very fun interactive kind of experience. The house special this rum rubbed beef is awesome. It is kinda pricey, but well worth the meal.

It's pricier, but you get your money's worth if you come hungry! Even the salad bar has a ton to offer. So do not avoid this place if there are any vegetarians in your party. The wait staff is cheery and helpful. The meat was delicious ten times over. Even the complimentary bread on the table was tasty. Everything was wonderful, but the bacon-wrapped fillet mignon was my favorite. Do not pass on the grilled pineapple, either!

Superb service and outstanding food. I have been to many churrascurias and this one had the finest, warm service of any I have visited I felt like a truly valued guest. The meats were expertly prepared and nicely served. The salad bar was a nice addition, but let's face it, you're coming here for the meat! Wonderful experience that was the dining highlight of my tripto MB.

Where do I even start? This is a dining experience that everyone should have at least once. If you're not familiar with how a Brazilian steakhouse works, let me fill you in. For each person at that table, there is a coin - red on one side, green on the other. If you want meat, you flip your coin to green. If you don't, you flip it to red. If at any time during the meal you feel like taking a break from the meat, you can flip the coin to red and then back to green when you're ready for more without penalty. The wait here is typically always pretty long, but it is well worth it and you can always kill some time at the bar. Now let's talk about the meat... The gauchos will bring around just about every meat you can think of. Beef, pork, chicken, lamb, fish, etc. You name it, they'll bring it. They will also bring around grilled pineapple with cinnamon too! In addition to all these meats, you can enjoy the salad bar (which, let's be clear, is SO much more than a salad bar). There, you can assemble a plate of sushi, cucumber salad, chickpea salad with cherry tomatoes and cilantro, various pasta salads, a great assortment of cheeses including Parmigiano-Reggiano and Blue, olives, bread, and some to-die-for roasted potatoes with rosemary. As if all that weren't enough, they also bring a few different side dishes to you. This included fried bananas, deep fried cheese, mashed potatoes, and cheese bread. Hungry yet? There are two different dinner options here. You can choose to either pay to have everything which runs about $36 per person, or you can opt out of the table side meats and eat only the sides and the salad bar which is $21.50 per person. If you're not much of a meat lover, like myself, the salad bar is plenty to keep you satisfied. (And much cheaper too) My boyfriend and I came here and I had only the salad bar and he had the works. It was a great experience for us both and we will definitely be going back for more! I highly recommend that you try it at least once.

We went here for Christmas Eve two years ago, and it was amazing. You sit at a table and tons of servers come around offering you various cuts of beef, chicken, pork, lamb and shrimp. There was also a salad bar, but why fill up on that with unlimited meat coming your way?! The biggest thing is the price...you get tons of high-quality meat, but it's going to cost you.

We had wanted to try a Brazilian steakhouse for a long time. Finally did here and we were both pleased. The star for me was the food bar which I will order by itself next time. The meats were okay but my heart belongs to Angelo's for their filet. However we truly loved the grilled pineapple that was served along with the meats. The food bar had some unique options such as fresh mozzarella/tomatoes, perfectly cooked salmon in a light sauce, sushi, various salads, and another fish choice. Mmmmm I want to go back just for the bar. Hubs will do will both meat and bar and he got us 20% off the bill with his golf score card. We will be back. Be prepared to unbutton you're pants. You'll be stuffed.

Rounding out a series of bachelor party weekend restaurants, Rioz did not disappoint. Although I did not find it on the same level of Fogo de Chao, it was still good and provided a solid value. The salad bar was decent, not on the level of Fogo, but not as bad as some people report about lower-end Brazilian steakhouses. Although I would not consider Rioz a "low-end" steakhouse, it's certainly not the top of the heap nor is it near the bottom by any means. Black beans and rice were average here, but things like hearts of palm and bell pepper were fresh and tasty. The meats at Rioz were very good with a few disappointments. Top sirloin was not flavorful at all, but the "house special" sirloin was, so I wonder what the difference might be there. The lamb chops were below average, but the leg of lamb was quite good. The filet was hit and miss, as one cut came out bloody rare and the next was medium well, both unacceptable in my opinion. The bacon-wrapped items were actually a little better than what is offered at Fogo -- moist and flavorful. The flank steak was the highlight of the meat menu, absolutely delicious. Service at Rioz is excellent, almost too good. We had several waiters/waitresses offering to change out our plates, almost too often. The gaucho service was extremely prompt and special requests were honored almost immediately. We requested more flank steak and bacon-wrapped items and both were delivered within a couple of minutes. The house special drink was excellent, a Brazilian liquor with lime. My friends particularly enjoyed this and it appeared that Rioz took a lot of pride in this beverage. Overall, a good value at $36.50 per person when you consider Fogo de Chao is $50 per person. Rioz is not quite as good as Fogo but then again, it's quite a bit cheaper.

Went here tonight and was very pleased!! Both the selection and quality of the food is great and the service is excellent as well! Never did I feel rushed or unwelcomed and there was always a waiter or waitress nearby. This is a truly unique dining experience that I would recommend to anyone looking to get great food and service. At first, it can appear a bit pricey (around $36 per adult), but once you realize what you're getting (endless, delicious filet mignon, fine cheeses, lamb, and more), the price really does seem reasonable. Definitely worth a trip (especially for meat lovers)!

Great salad bar. Once you flip your cards the meats just keep coming. Had to constantly keep flipping card so we had time to eat. Kept refilling iced tea whenever glass was half full. Everything was excellent from atmosphere to food and service.

14 golfers sitting down and within minutes we were swarmed by meat servers! I knew I needed to slow down.. but man it was coming around faster than I could chew! The food was great and the service was excellent! Skip the food bar though as some of it was not up to par with the table side delivery food! I'm just glad they were carving up the cinnamon pineapple as often as the meats! Next trip this will be the first night's dinner for sure! Some of the add-in's got the bill up pretty quickly... but those drinks were damn good!

I love Brazilian steakhouses. I have been to MB several times never thought to come to this place. I am definitely a fan after my first visit. They have the red card green card system as with most but the service and food was superb. All of the meats were cooked to perfection and the perfect temperature. The salad bar was plentiful with variety. I will definitely be back on my next trip to MB.

I had an amazing experience at Rioz Brazilian Steakhouse. You sit at a table and first you are given your plates to eat at the salad bar. Then you are given your plate to eat the meats. There is a coaster size card for each person at your table, with green on one side and red on the other. If you flip it to green, servers will walk to your table and tell you what each meat is and ask if you would like some. If the card is flipped the the red side the servers will not come to the table. The Salad Bar included, Cocktail Shrimp, Prosciutto Ham, Cheeses, Salad, Broccoli Soup, Sushi and lots more. People in my party thought they had a great variety and everything tasted like it was very fresh. The meats also had an amazing variety, were extremely flavorful, and very tender. The servers of the meat were very clear in what the meat they were serving was, which I appreciated. The service at Rioz is outstanding. Every single person who works there, goes above and beyond being polite. If I had to make one suggestion, it would be to make a reservation!

This was my first foray into a Brazilian steakhouse. I was pleasantly surprised. Dont waste time on the salad bar and just flip your card from red to green and prepare for a bad case of the meat sweats. I didnt turn down a single slab of beef they serve to you on skewers and i font regret it. There specialty Brazilian cocktails are good too

The service here is pretty good, but I've been to better "all you can meat" joints. The meat here was generally overcooked, underseasoned, and I could taste the lighter fluid in the meat. I spoke to the manager and he confirmed they used charcoal, but the cook isn't supposed to use lighter fluid. Too bad, I tasted it. The salad bar was unimpressive. Don't be fooled by the note that this place is dressy. I guess it's dressy for SC standards which means shorts and t shirts. Texas de Brazil is so much better.

Returned to Rioz tonight and left the waiter only 10% which we never do. They were rude in how they served us. They rushed and leaned over us without regard to our comfort. The waiter carrying the pineapple gave me a dirty look when he had to come to my side of the table. When you drop two hundred for a party of four and leave annoyed because of the service not the food it's bad. We had a party of 17 but the place wasn't even that crowded. Last time we were here we had better service and the place was jam packed.

We had a party of 13 and everyone loved it. Every single thing we tasted was delicious, even the salad bar (which was a cut above). Favs were the sirloins, flank steak and that FREAKIN PINEAPPLE.

Excellent food and even better service! This place was amazing. We'd never been to a Brazilian steakhouse before so we really didn't know what to expect. As other reviewer's said - don't load up on the side or salad bar. You'll almost forget those things are there. Every meat served was fantastic. When they say the guys will bring the near around, it's almost non stop if flipped to green. Next time around, I'd alternate between stop and go instead of flipping to green and loading up my plate. Flank steak and filet mignon were the best. We ordered a caprihlana and mojitos from the drink cart - drinks not included. Dessert is not included either but you won't need it anyway. Pricing is $36.95 or adults, well worth it. Every staff member we encountered was friendly and extremely hospitable.

Do not fill up on the salad bar! That's what everyone told me but the things that are on the salad bar were so yummy it was hard not to. This is a great place to try different kinds of meets cooked and seasoned different ways. We tried their national drink... Ehh it was ok, I was also disappointed that dessert cost extra. Although it may not look like it, it is a very kid friendly place. The grilled pineapple was THE BEST!!!!!

MEAT Mecca!! This was my second visit here, and was as awesome as my first visit.. The premise is simple.. Display the green side of your card, and Brazilian gauchos with meat grilled on swords come by your table and slice off meat for your carnivore cravings.. Turn card to red, and the meat parade will bypass your table. I see this becoming a regular stop on my Myrtle beach visits.. The salad bar is very fresh and extensive selection, but I feel pricy as a stand alone entree..

Rioz steakhouse is an AMAZING place to eat !! The food is excellent and the service was friendly and extremely hospitable !! I believe it starts with the manager Heriberto Vizcarra He really was very professional and welcoming I believe above and beyond to make you feel so special while you are dining. We were celebrating our anniversary and he made sure to make it special in every way possible by sending special sides to the table and a beautiful sweet desert with happy anniversary written on the dish !!!! What a great place to dine!!!! Enjoy if you are ever in myrtle beach !!'

Awesome place. Great value for a great evening. This is our second time here and just like the first we are ready to return. The wait staff was perfect and the food was awesome. Just what I anticipated. Good grilled meats and a well stocked salad bar. I hate to bust a place over a single waiter, but ours was surly at best. Kind of puts a damper on what was a good experience overall. Go back? Sure thing. The food rundown. All the beef was better than average. Their sausages were way above average bordering on spectacular. I would love to get to their supplier and have a few pounds for home breakfasts. The lamb was okay. Steer clear of the chicken. Dry and chewy. But I was there for the beef anyway.

We gave Rioz another shot, because after all of the rave reviews I figured maybe we were just there on an off night. We had a much better experience this time. The salad bar was fresh, with a ton of delicious options. Love the cheese! The restaurant wasn't real crowded, so we were able to get repeats of our favorites. The special that night was flank steak, so so good. I love the fried bananas, but could definitely live without the bizarre (instant?) mashed potatoes. All of the meat was wonderful, especially the above mentioned flank steak and the lamb. Glad I went back!

  • Thomas P.

Rounding up to a five, since some of these negative reviews might be written by clinically insane patrons. (But wait times are truly insane for this restaurant. Make a reservation. Even then, expect to wait 20 minutes for a table. We arrived early, and I guarantee there were people waiting for nearly 2 hours in the cocktail lounge.) Excellent salad bar selection of fresh veggies, fruits, cheeses, balsamic vinegars infused with every fruit imaginable, okay sushi and sashimi definitely worth eating. And the bread served at the table, was impossibly amazing and puffy and crisp. But, who cares about that. House special cut marinated in rum was my favorite, with the leg of lamb and bacon wrapped filet mignon nuggets right behind. Throughout the hour-long carnivore-fest there was only one dud; a piece of filet mignon served extremely well-done. It was sad to push the piece to the side, but with so many perfectly cooked, tender, medium to medium-rare slices, there was little time for remorse. I also felt bad for the gaucho with chicken and sausage on his spit. I had to try them, but with steak and ribs and lamb, there's no way I'm reaching for more sausage. Rioz puts on airs of being a dignified establishment, but in action it's more of an interactive feast. There's really no point in showing up with a group smaller than four as half the entertainment comes from watching everyone taste and share. An awesome lady also came around with a cart and mixed mojitos at happy hour prices right in front of us. Highly recommended. Sadly, I've never been to Brazilian steakhouse before, so I have no comparison, but it's certainly the best buffet I have ever digested!

Our visit was three adults and two children on a mid-week night. It was a little later and not very busy, other than the bus that came in across the room. The concept is based on the story of Brazilian Gauchos. Ok, I kind of like that. It's a one price buffet line really (and I hate buffets = troughs). There is a large salad bar with a nice selection. The gauchos come around with skewers of steak, sausage, chicken wrapped in bacon, and so forth and cut a piece off for you. The food, especially the meat was done well and tasty. Just be warned that it's $35/adult. If you like that, great. If you don't like bufftets -- and I do not -- then avoid. And go hungry to get your money's worth. Our biggest beef (pun intended) is that when our bill came they had charged us for four adults and two kids, with the automatically added 18% "gratuity" for parties of six or more. Um, I don't think so. They corrected the bill but with drinks, one desert, and the buffet meals the bill was over $200. Not really a value for our group. If you like meat, and lots of it, and are willing to pay $35/adult, go for it. If you don't eat that much, and don't like buffets, and less than par service, then go elsewhere. Just be informed. We won't go back and would not recommend it. But that's just us. P.S., The flan I had for dessert was actually good.

I love Brazilians.....steakhouses, that is. What a great concept. Rioz was excellent. Everything was cooked to perfection. The people serving the meat were excellent. These guys were on point. They ask which type of met you want & send it over once its on the floor. The large window in front of the grill was fun to watch. The real wood grill really added great flavor to the meat. I highly recommend Rioz.

For starters make sure you call in for a reservation. They stay pretty busy there at Rioz. My wife and I went there without a reservation and we waited for close to two hours, so make sure you put that reservation in before hand. The wait staff was top notch and very consistent on there repeated visits to our table to check on our portions of food and such. Only true thing that really didn't satisfy was how over salty all the meats were. That's a personal preference though, I know a lot of people love salty food. The salad/ buffet bar was excellent and had several items to choose from, which was nice. Seating was a bit congested but all in all a decent experience. Would try it out if you haven't before but it's definitely a special occasion restaurant. It can get pretty pricey, especially if your going to be sipping on alcoholic beverages. We dropped a $100.00 and we only drank soda.

OM freakin G! I wanted to go here so bad and finally did Thursday. The staff were excellent! I was full from the buffet bar before the meat even started coming. These people want to make sure you have a good experience. The salad bar that I got full of of was great. The best chicken salad I ever ate. Great sushi rolls. It's not beach season so I know things are hard but I was disappointed that they didn't bring the filet mignon to the table. I remember the sirloin came twice which isn't my favorite cut of meat. The ribs were ribs. I'm used to baby backs slathered in sauce. The lamb was ok, the lamb chops were a little bland, (I love highly seasoned meat). There were some things like the filet mignon and a couple others that I wanted to try but waiter asked if we ha any requests until we couldn't eat anymore. I went back to the salad bar and got more chicken salad and sushi rolls. Took the bread and made a chicken salad sandwich after I picked the carrots and raisins out. Then desert. Chocolate moose cake and my lady had the key lime pie which I ate most of when we came back to hotel. I love chocolate but that key lime pie is to die for. I really loved how the staff wanted to see that everything was good and checking on us. Great job! So many places do not care anymore. I wish the met was more tender though. I believe you should not need a knife to cut meat on a plate. Just a fork. If God lets me, I will dine here in the future. You should try this fine restaraunt.

The meat was seasoned and cooked perfectly and the servers are very knowledgeable and professional! Both of the lamb cuts were delicious and the sushi is made in front of you at the salad bar! Thanksgiving Day was my second visit to Rioz. The meat is the big draw here. Garlic Sirloin, bacon wrapped filet and Flank Steak were my favorites. All of the other meats I tried were very good including the bacon wrapped chicken and also the sausage. But for me, after the meats, the other stuff they offer is a "let down". They brought us a tray of mashed potatos (room temp), bananas (room temp) and a tray of polenta (does anyone like polenta?!.....not me!) Now they have a really nice salad bar, but several things on it are not things I really like. Now the chicken salad and potato salad were very good, and the black beans and rice were pretty good. But quail eggs, sushi and chilled shrimp are not my favorites. Now for me, there's no way I'm paying $36.50 for this. If I were giving stars based on the meats offered, I would give 5 stars. But I have to consider the entire package, and the sides they offer are not 5 stars, more like 3. Final rating is 4 stars.

The food was amazing and we were meat drunk by the time we left. The servers were so nice and attentive. The kids practically at for free and everything tasted great. Try the flan.....the carmel sauce is lip smacking tasty!

Warning- do not eat all day when going here!!! Fantastic all you can eat salad bar which includes, sushi, salad, cubed cheeses, mozarella & tomatoes, potato salad and deli meats. Spectacular all you can eat meats. The service is outstanding. You don't have to look for anyone to give you a refill on drinks or another clean plate. The steak is to die for along with the pineapple.

Wooow - they must've lowered prices since we last visited! Rioz is amazing. It's a birthday favorite in our family. Go hungry - really, really hungry. The salad bar is pretty great, but don't fill up on it, because the meat is definitely the star of the show. Tender, well-cooked and delicious! The only thing we didn't like was the bacon-wrapped chicken; it was a little too salty for our table. The dessert cart is awesome; the creme brulee is fantastic. Drinks are also great & quite potent, especially the specialty drink (I can't remember the name offhand, but wow). Service is top-notch - be ready when you flip your card to green, because the servers will start circling your table. Definitely recommend!

The food is subpar. I mean, the filet mignon wasn't that good, but the alcatra was pretty good. The service was awful and the waiter was extremely rude. He kept hovering over our table, trying to see how much we ate, which wasn't even much. Then in the middle of our meal, he said "thank you for coming, please take your time," in a sarcastic manner. I wouldn't come back because of the service. Worst service ever. Also, he took our bill, came back, and said 5 dollars was missing. But we paid it completely, so basically he took an extra 5 from us. Not coming back.

Awesome meats! Salad bar is good as well. Modern decor. Team atmosphere among the wait staff led to prompt service.

I love this place! We ate here 2 times, it's a bit pricey but it's all you can eat! Come hungry! I personally think the salad bar is eh... they have a few sushi there too, but why would you want to settle for that when you have a ton of different type of meats to try. They fill you up quick too so try not to eat so much from the salad bar.

What a great experience! Service A+, Food A+, Atmosphere A+! Our first time and we made the mistake of not pacing ourselves ;). There are so many delicious options that in order to try them all you will have to be here awhile. Your gut just can't hold all at one time!! They had an amazing salad bar. Every time I turned around my drink was getting refilled, meat was being offered, drinks, desserts, etc. Definitely going to become a Myrtle Beach tradition!

I've ate Rioz twice now and it was delicious both times. Most of the meats are delicious. If you aren't a big steak eater, then you won't like it that much. It's around $40 per person, but definitely worth it!

This is by far the absolute best place to eat! Don't worry about the wait that can be long at times, it is so worth it. You can start with the salad bar, or just flip your card to instantly get a full plate of mouth watering meats. The waiters are continuously showing up with more. Very kid friendly waiters, although there is a lot of hustle and bustle with the waiters walking around. The salad bar is a meal in itself, but the meat selection is incomparable. My only disappointment was the walk back to the car feeling like a stuffed pig! Make sure your hungry when you arrive. So worth the wait and $$$... I wish we had one closer to home!
